Im thinking about getting some redemptions replaced but never done it before. Do they go by BV? If so can anyone give me the BV on these? Will they combine that? Can u replace them with sealed product(packs or boxes)?

I went a few rounds with Panini a couple months ago. Here's what they told me and what ultimately happened. And yes, they go by book value.

They told me for any card valued at $100 or more they would guarantee specific replacements. Anything under $100 they would not, they would just send something similar and of equal value. And they told me they would not combine value of those cards. A rep initially told me he could offer product, but his manager took that off the table.

At the time I only had one card over $100 that I wanted replaced. It was a dual patch auto book /10 of Joe Greene and Roger Staubach from 2011 Elite. (They blamed Joe Greene, but I pointed out that it was obviously going to be a sticker auto and they had put his stickers in newer products... then the rep blamed their "sticker allocation dept.") Anyway.... they offered me a Roger Staubach jersey auto and a Kobe Bryant auto. The values seemed fair so I accepted. That was the easy part.

I had about 10 autos valued under $100... so they insisted I'd just have to wait and take what they send. I told them they burned me with that before and I'd never accept it again. I pushed hard on them combining the values and told them I'd take less value if they'd just give me 1 or 2 decent cards. The total book value of my 10 cards, by their math, was around $400... they agreed to give me between $200-$250 in value. They gave me a Mario Lemieux auto and a Le'Veon Bell auto... which was about $175 in value at the time I think.

I definitely got shorted but from my point of view it was better to get a couple of cards of players I wanted than risk them sending me 10 lower valued cards of players I probably wouldn't want.

If you don't care much, just see what they send you. If you PC something, lean on them to combine the values and give you 1 or 2 cards for your collection. They'll resist, but remind them it's absurd you have to go through this in the first place.

either way, good luck

I am fixing to do the same thing. I've been waiting about 18 months for a Julio Jones contenders auto and a Aldon Smith Monikers Gold Auto RC /25. I know at the time, the Aldon was worth approx. $100, but since his idiot period, he has fallen drastically. I am hoping Panini will honor the old price of when I redeemed it and not the fallen value. If they don't, I will raise hell, because it isn't my fault their company can't fill their redemptions in a timely manner.

It doesn't matter what the BV was when you redeemed it. They go by current BV and I know this from first hand experience because I went through the same thing. Are you sure that Aldon Smiths BV has gone down or just his ebay prices?
