Who do you guys think will be the most likely suitor?

Indy did just lose Bradshaw and Trent is dookie..
Jets seem to be a popular landing spot for troubled players..
McFadden & MJD are basically done. Oakland?..

Thoughts?

Canadian league? lol

People were saying if he was reinstated this year Detroit was a good landing spot for him. I don't see the fit

Probably because Caldwell is the HC. But other than that, I don't see it either.

Seattle if they lose Lynch.

Minnesota - Asiata is inconsistent

I also see the Jets and Oakland.

The Ottawa REDBLACKS would certainly welcome his services. That being said, I don't see him coming up north. Have a feeling he'll find work in the NFL, at the very least by next season.

Jets are happy with Chris Ivory, don't need the trouble of Rice. I agree with Indy, or maybe Falcons, Panthers, Cowboys as a backup to Murray :)!

Steelers could use a guy like him.

Also maybe the Seahawks.

He'd fit right in at Oakland.

I think the Vikings would prefer McKinnon over Rice. And the Vikings will most likely have AP anyways next year unless they trade him. There is no way that they release him and eat the rest of that contract.

Vikings have a better chance than the Seahawks in the draft.

Vikings normally draft better too. I could see Ray rice going for 2 second round picks.

If McKenzie stays as GM I don't see Rice in Oakland at all (especially if Lynch becomes available)

And then when the Vikings don't draft good, that player ends up on the Seahawks in a few years anyways! :D

Steelers have Le'Veon who is a beast. With Blount and Archer in the backfield as well, no use for Rice.

Save yourself the time. Ben loves attention. He posts ridiculous stuff all the time just to get people to respond to him

I think he had a bad professional season last year and a horrible off-season and current personal year.

I get a sense he's the type of guy who probably financially "made it rain" impulsively with gold chains, strippers, bottle service and a posse, so he's probably not planned further than his last paycheck and could be hurting for cash while still trying to maintain that baller lifestyle.

For that, I think he may be able to get a "league minimum" deal with a team willing to roll the dice with him next year (no way anyone wants him this year, he's not been punished long enough and memories are too fresh).

I think the team who goes for him much like how the Eagles rolled the dice with Michael Vick has to be one who isn't so concerned with press/public relations backlash, as well as a team who needs a cheap RB who might ignite.

I have to agree, I think the marketing of the team with Andrew Luck, the All-American Boy would be tarnished with such a bad element.

I really like Vick Ballard @ RB and hope he comes back healthy.

Again, the Vikings aren't going to take Rice. They'll have AP, and if they did decide to get rid of him, why would they take Rice? That would be awful condradicting and a huge downgrade when you could've just kept AP.

I thought Ray Rice looked like he was done in his last year of actually playing.

Even if he does come back, and someone thinks he can play, why would the league not blackball him the same way they blackballed Richie Incognito.

And, for the record, I think Incognito is a smacked A$$, but he definitely got blackballed.

My crystal ball says he does something else stupid and then has to play for the PFL, the Prison Football League.

Ray Rice is a free agent. He was released. He's a pariah and will have a hard time getting a one year deal next year.

NFL teams hate to trade picks. Ray Rice wasn't worth a pair of 2nd rounders before the Atlantic City incident.

Gotta remember though, the Ravens offensive line was horrible. It's tough to judge him on that last season. They couldn't create a running lane vs a stick man D-line.. it was bad.

It's probably going to take a team with a Coach that is established enough to handle the media; an Owner that is savvy enough to keep the sponsors from abandoning ship and fueling the media attention; and it wouldn't surprise me if the local political climate of the team's location could factor as well.

It's highly unlikely any losing team with need at RB right now would sign him this year, as there's no point taking the PR hit if he can't get you to the playoffs to make additional money. If he's signed at all, it will probably be after the Draft, possibly after June cuts and maybe even in July/August after a camp/preseason injury.

I would say the Giants could be an unlikely possibility, depending on how Jennings finishes the year, and if Coughlin and Eli (could be cut for cap/performance reasons) are back next year; although NY media would be intense. The Giants window is so short, that a player like Rice fits the win now time-frame (if Manning is still around) that a rookie or other FA option may not.

Seattle, if they cut ties with Marshawn Lynch, is probably the only realistic team. Rice would be cheap, Pete Carroll is the type of guy that can sell anything to anyone, Paul Allen has enough money he doesn't need sponsors, and Wilson's clean reputation would likely help defuse the media storm.

That said, I think Rice's most likely football related career path is, if he has a good relationship with the current Rutgers coach or someone else in College football, to sign on somewhere as a RB coach and try to rehab his image as a positive mentor to young men. He's still young enough that, if he keeps himself in shape, he might be able to get a camp invite in the NFL in 2-3 years around age 29/30, and cash in on a couple final seasons as player if he can still perform, and slide back to coaching afterwards.

I don't know if anyone takes a chance on Rice. Unlike Michael Vick and Adrian Peterson, he's not coming off of a fantastic season. He's coming off of a season where he got 3 yards a carry. His career is on the downward turn. Teams will look at it as his talent doesn't outweigh the PR nightmare that would come with him.

Teams will go after guys in the draft, or undrafted free agents. They're younger, cheaper, and can equal Ray Rice's production.

D will and stewart are both better than rice, rice as a starter is over but im sure teams like the titans, bears, colts, cards could use him as a backup
