What's up with Micronauts #8?

I've read on a few other forums that this book is starting to heat up. Reaching prices of $50 and higher. Aside from the first appearance of Captain Universe, what else am I missing here?

I think that's all it has going for it. I found a copy a few weeks ago for $3 and passed on it, probably due to it's poor condition, plus I a have no retro factor working in it's favor as I was never into Micronauts myself.

Wasn't Captain Universe basically Quasar's predecessor? Maybe I'm thinking of Captain Marvel, or whoever has the Nega Bands or Quantum Bands and not the Uni-Power. It's hard to keep track of characters whose power comes from a device that switches between users.
