It is going to be a long year boys. I guess this is insurance in case Peraza is not ready OR maybe they are moving CJ...one can only hope.

mlbtraderumors mentioned that the Braves were trying to package J-Up and CJ in a deal but you can't believe everything you see on there. I'm hoping this is just insurance in case Peraza isn't ready out of Spring Training.

more evidence that Braves-A's are sister clubs in every way. Amazing pitching, stuttering offenses, weird pickups, cheap ownership, one WS win each in the past 25 years. Or something.

I saw that too. The AJC was also negating that rumor. I heard we were talking Upton to Texas again for Mazara and a pitcher.

Good point. However the Braves are really handicapped by the many poor free agent signings over the last 5 years. Even if they wanted to spend money they cannot.

I heard that too but with a different name. I heard the Rangers didn't want J-Upton because he was a one year rental but were willing to part with Mazara for Gattis.

I think the Braves have to trade him now. They are not going to sign him and his value will be less at the trade deadline.

I would love for both Uptons and C.J. to be traded this offseason but J-Up is the only one with value. I agree, he needs to be traded now while we can still maximize our return.

Would hate to see Gattis go, so i'm ok with what you mentioned.

They also said that rumor was about a week old and not happening anymore.

If it were a rival team that'd picked up Callaspo, I would've laughed at them...

Dude is like a IF version of Terrence Long. Complained about him and Sogard the whole past season.
