Saddest thing is the # of players on that list that actually have a ring+

And notice there's a certain all time great not even on there

Who? Magic Johnson, Larry Bird???

I know Michael Jordan... They played in the wrong era... I wonder what the biggest sallaries of all time would be if they took into account inflation?

That would be the tale tale sign of who made the most.

Plus, I am fairly sure Jordan has made more money than any other professional athlete ever to date including playing sallary and endorsements. :)!

I think your right on the Jordan comment...but Woods is quickly catching him. In 07 he was at like 800 million, last year he went over 1 billion. Thats a ton of earnings and endorsements.

His net worth is 900 million, but Ellon is getting 750 million in the settlement. ;)

Maybe so, but I think $750 million should be just enough to take care of her... maybe

It is funny how Rasheed could move up that list even more, but he is retiring. I cannot fathom how much money this truly is.

Yeah didn't they report he came in at almost 1.4 billion?

I think I heard yesterday they are going to settle for something closer to 100 million in the divorce.

Jordan took paycuts after paycuts to keep the all those championship Bulls team together. It wasn't till his last two seasons when the Bulls hooked him up for "thanking" him where he got $30 million in 97 and $33 million in 98

Jordan and Pippen were getting paid pretty much the same thing. Jordan was only making a little over a million more than Luc Longely in 95 and 96.

Ewing was in the same era and made much more than Jordan. Malone same thing, just not as much as Ewing.

The players get paid wayyyy too much. Good thing there is going to be a lock out in 2011. People don't realize that they get a couple thousand dollars for making a free throw. Too bad after 18 years, getting paid almost $300M, shaq still doesn't know how to make a damn free throw. If someone was going to pay me even the minimum, shoot I'll hit 10/10.

So where should all the money that the players raise for their team/franchise go to?

Well most are past their cap. It doesn't matter. The owners are mad and are having this lockout next year....
