That's exactly the problem. He is a liability at the line. Was terrible in college and has not improved much if at all. These bigs who cant shoot FTs are fools gold. I am hoping for the kid and think the Pistons have got something with him and Monroe. Same with Houston now I really like them but with a big who cant shoot FT's its gonna be awfully hard to win those big games and now they got Smith beside him to compound the issue.... I guess Shaq did it but it doesn't seem like anyone else can pull it off.

Yeah. I agree. It's a tremendous effort and he might even surpass a peak Howard. But of course Howard brought his team to the finals. Really can't see pistons go near that in the near term...but we never know

Drummond is first in OREB% 4th in DREB% and 2nd in overall rebound % behind DeAndre.

Your point is often ignored when people talk about Wilt and the old guys. Pace is also usually ignored. But Andre's advanced #s match his RPG. The guy is a monster on the boards.

Also, I didn't compare them. They do similar things to Reggie Evans. Rebound and sit in the post. So did Rodman. So does Dwight. Some better than others.

Am I the only one who sees Deandre Jordan/Tyson Chandler v2? Can't play a lick outside of 5 feet on the offensive end, is a rebound monster, and terrible from the FT line.

Sorry, but don't really see much special about this guy. It's not like he's a transcendent talent like DCuz where he can take guys off the 20 foot J, or run coast to coast with handles and dish the ball.

He's effective for what he's asked to do, but aside from that..I just don't see it. And yes, he's been hyped since his rookie year on this board. Not saying he's horrible, but just not sure if I see a superstar in the making.

Nothing at all. But in terms of potential/price, it would dictate that Drummond is currently WAY overpriced. I think people are having more expectations of a plus D Howard. But I'm not seeing it.
