Every since joining the forums here I've wanted to have a nice Immaculate patch for my collection. I don't collect too many newer cards, so I decided it would either be a nice Pacers patch or a nice patch of a former player.

Hard to imagine my first Immaculate card would end up being pictured as a Knick (but fits not one, but two of my requirements still).

The only issue I have with the card is that there is some damage on the top right corner. The corner itself is not dinged, but it looks like something has dug into the card. I passed on a cheaper version of this card on ebay that had the same issue (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-14-Panini-Immaculate-Team-Logos-Numbers-Patch-card-Mark-Jackson-04-10-/141502300816?pt=US_Basketball&hash=item20f231c290&nma=true&si=p3LGHeNnAYByJhoVcIT56XKLW2c%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557), only to receive this one and see the same thing (if I would have known, I would've just bought the cheaper one). Similar to the scan I took, the "dig" was not noticeable on the seller's scan. I still think they should be responsible, and they offered me a refund, but I still wanted the card (just unhappy that it was misrepresented).

I guess my question then, is - is this a common issue for Immaculate? It has literally the same dig as another card from the print run in the exact same spot.

It might not necessarily be Immaculate in general. There have been several occurrences where the entire run of single card was damaged during production prior to seeding.

The most notorious example are the 2005-06 Topps Style Fan Favorites Bill Bradley Autographs

Almost every single one [I actually have never seen a mint copy], including the Chrome copies, has the same mashed upper left corner.

Three more examples on eBay, all with mashed corner

No it is Immaculate. The non acetate cards, especially in the first year, come out horrible. So much dinging and chipping.

i have couple of copies of a same card in immaculate patch but didnt have this issue. I agree though that they're terrible in terms of soft corners and chipped edges, and patches that pushes the paper out. it may not be a coincidence that 2 copies (out of 10) shows the same damage on the same area, could be a mishap in cutting or in handling the lot ?

Thanks everyone for the input. Otherwise, I love the look of the Immaculate patches!
