How many get in today? Just a poll for fun to see if we can think like the sportswriters. Not looking for names or arguments, just final numbers.
I believe there should be 5 today, but am choosing 2.

I Think 3 or 4 get in. I voted 4 to be hopeful.

I think it's going to be at least Pedro/Smoltz/Johnson/Biggio with Piazza maybe making it.

Even though there are many deserving players of the four major sports the baseball HOF is the most picky when it comes to inducting new members. I think they will only chose 2 but I hope that I am wrong and they pick more.

This better be the year for Biggio and please get Raines in sometime in the next 24 months.

I'm with most everyone else...I think four will get in. Although I feel like there are much more than 4 deserving players on the ballot this year.

Extremely strong ballot.
I'm going to say three (Johnson, Martinez, Smoltz). I think Biggio is going to narrowly miss one more time.

I'm optimistic thinking 5. I believe Pedro/Randy/Smoltz/Biggio are definitely in, and think Piazza has a decent chance of getting in too.

Biggio has to get in and it will be by a decent margin there were already 20 or so ballots announced this year that had him that didn't have him last year. He will end over 80% the question is will piazza squeak in or will he be this years biggio

I say 4, Piazza will be at 65-70% probably.

If Piazza gets in then Bonds, Clemens etc. should get in. Piazza admitted to using steroids back in the day. IMO this would open it up to all the steroid players.

Biggio is pretty much in based on the current reported ballots.

Does Piazza know this? I must've missed his tell-all interview.
To my knowledge, neither Piazza or Bagwell have ever had any proof levied against them and have vehemently denied using PED's. They have been lumped in with other sluggers as guilty until proven innocent.
If I'm wrong please link to the Piazza "admission of guilt" interview.

This did not happen, or he'd be down in the 5-15% range with McGwire and Sosa.

Piazza admitted to not being gay, but that's the only Piazza press conference I can recall.

But three is exactly one less than 4! Shouldn't that count for something?

Call it what you want.
Today, Androstenedione is classified as an “anabolic steroid” by the U.S. government, per the “Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004.”

HOF is running out of players to put in.
What's left now? A bunch of roid users. I see a dry spell happening for the next dew years.

Out of the class of players coming from now to 2019 I feel the following players are guaranteed to make it:
Ken Griffey Jr. (1st ballot)
Chipper Jones (1st ballot)
Ivan Rodriguez
Vladimir Guerrero
Jim Thome (1st ballot)
Mariano Rivera (1st ballot)
I believe Hoffman is a possibility as well.
