View Full Version : COMC Blowout, $80,000+ Price Drop And Still Dropping!

Since early December I have been dropping prices dramatically. My goal for the year is to only have cards priced in the $3 range, everything above that will either be sold or shipped back. I have been dropping prices on every card that I pay storage fees on. For cards purchased in ports, most of them are at the price I paid or below. This is causing a major change in how I will be handling offers in the future. In the past I was at 75% for auto-accept, I am now only going to 90%. If your offer is rejected or countered close to the listed price that would indicate my price is firm, typically the item is already at cost or lower. I am not even half way through, so for now I will still consider offers up to 65%.

Still going strong! I have knocked off another $25,000 off my asking price since my last post. There are some absolute steals in the $2-$3 range, a lot of those cards I will not accept any offer on. A lot of the $3 cards are in a holding pattern until I finalize my plans, the price is easy for me to go back and redo later.

Thanks. It's odd, I'm trying to check out your port, but when sorting by price, I can't get past page 100 (when veiwing 100 items at once) to get down to the cards in the $2-$3 range. Do you have that issue in looking at your own port? Might just be a COMC glitch for very large ports like yours, or it could be an issue from my end?

That is one of the glitches of the new search engine they recently bought and one of many reasons I am done with COMC. If they are going to cap the search's, they need to cap the storage fees...

Time for an update. With COMC refusing to reply to some of my concerns I have decided to start pulling cards from the site until I get some answers. I have recently pulled every Leaf Army card and every Sportkings card that was selling for $3 or more. Next step is do start pulling cards priced over $3 which actually will allow more of the $2.50-$3.00 cards to start showing up in the allotted 100 page "search" function the site currently mandates. If there was something you were interested that is no longer visible feel free to contact me and I can put it back if I do have the card available.

I think Moe's last post (http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/ebay-comc-online-selling-shows-paypal-shipping/838557-why-people-don-t-use-know-comc.html) is a pretty clear sign... They will not even let me know what I paid for a redemption card that was redeemed last week.

Don't look now, but the other link to the left actually works now! Thanks to COMC I have finally started using Ebay again. Figured I would give them a shot again, it is mostly hockey so far.
