Contenders variations

My apologies if this has already been posted but how can i tell if my auto is a variation this year or not?

Sticker autos have seat, sec, row on variations. RPS autos...you'll need to look at the pics. Panini's blog, Cardboard Connection, somewhere on here all show the different photos.

I don't think this is correct... so on the cards, they DO have Seat, Sec, and Row, but so do base cards from what I understand... the difference will be this...

Let's take ODB's physical stats...

In the base card, it will have the following:
Seat 511
Section 198
Row 13

The variation will have the following:
Seat 13
Section 198
Row 511

So, from what I understand:
Seat: Player's Height
Section: Player's Weight
Row: Player's Jersey #

Variation:
Seat: Player's Jersey #
Section: Player's Weight
Row: Players Height

Not true, sorry ... this is ONLY true for the sticker autos. You have to use the Panini blog for the RPS autos. I accidentally sold a Allen Robison variation as a base auto because I was going by what I THOUGHT was the telltale sign. Doesn't work for the on-card autos.

So not necessarily "not true", more like different application for different cards... which sucks.
