I don't currently PC anyone but I am considering Drew Gooden.

When I was 6, I was at my first Cavs game (This was the glory days Cavs, with Eric Snow and Larry Hughes). We had seats all the way up because you know, the Cavs were really good and tickets were expensive. Walking around the concourse before the game, an employee approached me and asked if I wanted to be an "honorary ball kid". The perk of being an "honorary ball kid" was that I got to go onto the court before the game and get a warm up ball from a member of the starting five. When I took the court, Drew Gooden handed me his warm up ball.

So, why do you PC who you PC?

Growing up I PC'd Jordan and still have most of that collection. Even if I leave the hobby I won't sell those cards. Most of them I pulled myself over all the years collecting in the 80s and 90s. Being a kid in Chicago during the Jordan years was a special thing and more than likely why basketball has been ingrained in my life ever since.

Being a big kid now, the PC is Jimmy Butler and the Bulls overall. I almost never miss a game and try to attend as many games as possible throughout the year.

Stephen Curry because....

1. Dubs fan 4 life.
2. Had season tickets a few years ago... i think his 2nd year in the league...
3. Met him a few times and liked how humble, grounded, and just genuinely nice he is.
4. His cards were relatively cheap back then when I started.. as it's a hobby and not a business for me.

Dmase because I love his story and love dunkers and OK state.
Raptors because I live in Canada and have watched them religiously through the years.

Toni Kukoc because I am a huge Bulls fan. Also because he was a team player and could hit the big shot.

Allen Iverson

Greatest and most dominant little man to ever play the game. Brought more heart to the court than anybody else.

Archie Goodwin

He's a confident, but humble, kid who happened to get drafted by my hometown team (Suns). His cards are cheap because he's buried behind 4 other talented guards. If given a chance to play, he's going to make the #SCTOP10 a lot.

I PC Spencer Dinwiddie cause:
1) I watched a game in his in college where he hit a buzzer beater
2) plays for my favorite team- Pistons
3) very affordable
4) has a lot of upside

Amen. I can't stand most of the players today flopping up and down the court.

I love his quote on the back of my Topps chrome gold refractor:

" Just put me on the floor with four warriors. My whole thing is to get down and dirty, scar my knees, get banged up and get right back up. When my guys see that, they feed off it."

Isaiah Thomas. 2 rd draft last pick.....but proofed everybody wrong! He is a spark plug for his team. Actually coming from the bench and played 9 times 20 + pts and even more games with 15+ pts...from the bench? Are you kidding me? Possible the 6th man of the year :)

This is my favorite card because it is the first basketball card that I ever owned. In the fourth grade, a kid traded the card to me so that he could be hall monitor for the week. Back then I had never ever seen a basketball card and didn't even know who Nique was, but I took the deal anyway.

My friend's dad then took me to my first basketball game a year later, which was a Warriors @ Clippers game after Nique had been traded to the Clips. Nique went for 50+ in an overtime win and I was blown away.

Then, a few years later, I moved up the PNW and one of the friends I made collected John Stockton and got me into the hobby. I was looking to collect a player that was really solid whose cards could be acquired on the cheap. Lo and behold, Dominique fit the bill. The rest is history!

I have many PCs withing my PC. For example I collect anything within my budget of Jordan, Kobe, LeBron because they are some of the greatest within the game and it is always easy to find other collectors of them to trade with. I also collect anything of Walter Payton because he was my childhood hero. I started collecting OJ after he got in trouble back in '94 for kicks and giggles. Other basketball players that I like to collect their rookie cards and autos include Ryan Anderson, Raymond Felton, and Timofey Mozgov because the are always nice to me in person and I am trying to supercollect autos of them IP as well as certified. There are other players that I have good experiences with that I do the same thing with. I am not in the hobby for money although I have occasionally sold some of my cards. I collect for fun and as a diversion from the real world. The day this becomes a job for me is the day I quit collecting.

I grew up idolizing Isiah Thomas. My favorite sport was basketball from an early age and growing up in the Metro Detroit area there was no larger-than-life sports figure than Zeke.

I currently PC 2 players. Hakeem and jabari Parker. Hakeem bc the first NBA finals I've ever watched the whole series is the 94-95, and I was just fell in love with his post moves and been a fan ever since. And parker bc he's a kid from chicago and I always root for hometown kids. I Prob would of PCd Drose and AD had I been in the hobby when their RC cards were out for the same reasons but their cards are way too pricy now -_-. Maybe Jahii okafor next year!

I have a lot of players that I PC. My first and still highest priority PC player is Magic Johnson. When I was a kid my uncle was a collector and he sent me some of his early cards. That was what got me interested in collecting cards in the first place. He's my favorite basketball player ever. I loved watching him play.

The player that I'm focusing on right now is Pau Gasol. I collect him because I love his game and I also like him as a person. He does a lot of stuff in the community and he seems like a very nice, intelligent, cultured guy. I'll always be grateful to Pau for being the player that pushed the Lakers back into legit finals contenders and helped us get 2 more rings. What he did against Boston in 2010 was huge.

Beside MJ which is so expansive now to afford, Kawhi Leonard is the player I like most now. As he looks humble, hardworking, get the job done (i.e. win games), got a champion and final MVP...and his RC/RPA are still affordable at this moment.

Stephen curry cause I used to shoot basketballs with him when his dad used to play for the raptors. I used to work for the raps and would shoot with him for an hour every game day. Can you believe he had NBA 3s range as 11 yr old?

Dirk nowitzki. That fade away never gets old, and he's also a great guy. Took a 10 million dollar pay cut this year so they could build a better team. Hes definately one of a kind.

Used to PC Brandon Jennings because he played for my favorite team, and I thought he'd become a 22/7 franchise PG. After leaving for Detroit, I developed a PC of Brandon Knight for similar reasons, though I was expecting him to average closer to 17/7. I still have both PC's, but the way they've both dived in value I just stick to cards I really like now. I like the players, but it's just not worth spending $300 on one to be worth $50 a couple years later.
