Modern key RCs

I am not really a modern collector and sometimes have a difficult time deciding the "key RC" for a particular player.

What would you consider to be the key RCs for the following players:

1) Aaron Rodgers
2) Andrew Luck
3) Tom Brady

Also, for modern cards which TPG do you prefer - BGS or PSA?

For Brady I like the Bowman Chrome BGS 9.5. For Rodgers I like Topps Chrome BGS 9.5.

Can autographed cards be true RCs? I'm seriously asking as I don't consider autographs to be true RCs. I'm thinking like Topps Chrome/Bowman Chrome type stuff.

In a set like Contenders, the auto ticket is the only true Rc in the set. Chrome and Bowman chrome are true rookies I suppose, but I would guess a majority of collectors will desire the auto versions. But Luck and Rodgers BGS chrome base still do very well.

The Luck Topps Chrome shown by trixstar is an interesting one. Currently Luck has 307 Contenders BGS 9.5's, and just 14 Topps Chrome BGS 9.5's. I recently did a cash/trade deal to obtain one of the 14 Topps 9.5's. With Topps losing the license next year it may not be super-popular long-term, but I'm hoping the rarity will keep it valuable and sought after if Luck continues to perform at a high level. Time will tell.

If you are not a modern collector, you are probably just thinking base rookie. Nowadays, sets like contenders and national treasures only have rookie patch autos the first year of a players career and since they are the highly collected brand, most look at them as the "true" rookie to collect. If you are looking non auto, non patch, its pretty much chrome...bowman or topps depending on year;

How do I check market value for these modern cards? I subscribe to VCP but their listings end in 1999. Checking completed listings on eBay sometimes creates more confusion rather than clarity.

Also, is there a consensus for Peyton Manning's best base and auto cards?
