I wouldn't pay almost $2K for a non auto super of a WR but that's just me.

People like this have no balls IMO.
Put it at $0.99 and let it ride. That or take BIN/BO. Listing it at auction for $1,800 is just a waste of time for everyone.

It is so weird to do it this way with $1800 starting bid. BIN/BO at $3k, and field the best offer. Counter all of them at $2000 and see if anyone bites.

Think I just worked out a deal for the card with the guy. Fingers crossed. Was hard watching that auction end. I was worried a DEZ collector might get it last minute

So I'll be honest and have thought of doing it this way at times just to save a measly $.30 on a listing fee to see what the gauge is on the card. I haven't. But I've thought about it.

Someone else had the 2010 TC Gronk super non auto, for $2500, I personally would go $500 on that...

I've bought from that seller before. He's oversea in the military and sends from APO. Got a sweet 1986 Topps Tiffany Bo Jackson BGS 9 from him at a good price. That $50k is ridiculous though.

Most likely he wants to keep the card but would sell if somebody offered ridiculous cash. Or he just likes showing it off to a large audience :D

OMG. This guy screwed me
I offered $1500 and he said yes... For some reason he wanted to set it up as a buy it now
Now he just told me he has people offering him 1800 and he relisted with a 1800 starting price
What an ASS

I hate it when they do that. You have to be careful as many sellers can smell desperation. I can also see it being a few BO members messing with you, as we have some sick fugs on here. Either that or greed to get you to pay a bit more with a lie, as you probably seemed desperate to him.

He's probably just trying to squeeze extra money out of you. If someone wanted it for 1800 they would of bid on it.

After the auction ended I sent him a message through ebay ... He said he would set the auction back up with a $1500 buy it now

Not against the rules, but it is shady and he's also full of crap.
I'd love to have that card, but I wouldn't buy it from this tool bag.

It gets even better now. He just told me he has a 2k offer but it's mine if I pay 2250
Told him to go to hell
Screw that guy... What's funny is I know some idiots from the forum are screwing with him to try and get me to overpay. Now that I back out he has no buyer

Discretion is the better part of valor.
Next time just keep it all under your hat until it's all said and done. Don't notify the whole board that a card you want is available right now, and that your going to try and work out a deal. Just do what you gotta do, keep it all on the down low, then come here and impress us.
By making this all public before you tried to work out a deal you set yourself up for issues.
Sorry it went south on you. Hopefully none of these other buyers will follow through and your original offer will stand.

Yep... So true. I was originally looking to get some feedback on the price. Just could not decide if the 1800 he was asking was a good price. Didn't think about all of the other drama... Lesson learned

He is a fool to not take that, so let him sit on his extortionist attitude and have no money.

Whatever you do just stand your ground man. You'll get a message from him in a week or so saying he'll take your original offer. That's when you drop your original offer a couple hundred bucks and tell him take it or leave it.

While i think he should have stuck to a deal if one was made.. i dont know how much you can fault a guy for trying to maximize profits on a card like that.. especially when a bunch of aholes are messaging him bogus offers.
If you should be mad at anyone it should be the jerks who are messing with you first and foremost by messaging the seller. I know youre a bigtime dez collector and they just screwed you outta a card you clearly want in your collection.
Also a crappy thing for them to do to a seller that has done nothing to them.

Seller has not done enough research to know which offer is real or not. It is no different from a 0 feedback buyer makes an offer from a country you never heard off.
It is not just about the number.
