Printing Plates

So I was just curious, so thought I'd ask, when it comes to printing plates do they come in packs or how do people come across them?

Yes, they are usually randomly inserted in packs.

They come in packs and are numbered 1/1 but the plates are from the 4 printing colors; magenta, black, yellow and cyan.

Edit: Some plates are also autographed.
