After terrible luck with Topps Platinum Blasters which had auto odds at like 1:36 I had began to lose faith in retail until I tried Topps Fire at WalMart today

nice hit, retail blasters have big hits, you just have to get lucky, i've bought tons of retail and hit many big named auto's out of them.

Awesome pull. I have no such luck either in retail boxes. I normally get a non interesting jersey patch or auto of someone who doesn't make it in the NFL very long or becomes a special team player.

i actually believe that blasters are much better than people believe. walmart and target are really big customers to panini and topps, so they know they need to make sure these sell. if not, they will just stop buying

Agreed, seems that it's gotten better over the last year or 2 as well.

Pulled a few nice autos out of retail chrome last year, and it looks like for 2014 chrome they stuck most of the color autos in retail. You only get 2 color autos per hobby case, but it seems like almost every retail hit I've seen on here has been a color/refractor auto. Pulled an Eric Ebron refractor /150 out of a rack pack myself.

Hit an auto out of a platinum blaster the other day as well. Jason Verrett base, but an auto nonetheless.

One thing I'm pretty certain of is that retail Topps is a helluva lot better than retail Panini, aside from the boxes that gaurantee hits.

I will say even when I don't get a hit in retail. I have pulled a few number cards that might be number to like 75 of proven veterans.

I hit a 2013 Topps Chrome Patrick Peterson sticker auto which sold for $40 but since then I have got completely screwed on retail. Ive probably bought 8 blasters of Topps Chrome and got nothing. Maybe 2 color refractors but mostly crap. I even tried a few rack packs because people here have said they were yielding more hits than blasters and still have got nothing. grrr! lol
