great coach , humble man, basketball junkie. favorite story he a had an asst. coach get named guardian of a young man in prison 6'10'' and 280 lbs that he wanted for his team so the young man could get paroled. slaughtered duke in the finals.

Bummer I saw yesterday he was kind of listed as minute to minute as he was really having some issues. Another huge loss for the basketball community. Thats 2 in a week and both true legends of the game.

Man those UNLV teams of his were fun to watch... Runnin' Rebels for sure. Nicce Title in '90 and probably should have got it in '91 too.

Back in '87 I still couldn't believe they came back against Iowa in the NCAA tournament.

Again he had some fun UNLV teams. Chewing that towell on the sidelines was always something to look for.
