Looks like he really let himself go? That's a lot of pressure on the heart, especially after a career as an athlete.
Hope he fights through and comes out on top!

That picture is indicative of congestive heart failure. My grandfather, a thin man died from the effects. The final years of his life he had to measure all liquid inputs and outputs to monitor the amount of fluid his body was retaining.
One of his early episodes had over 30 pounds of retained water that was eliminated after two days in the hospital.

congestive heart failure is one of the most perplexing type of medical conditions i've seen first hand. my father had congestive heart failure and he required 2 separate surgeries for his condition. he had two defibrillators put in his body and then wasn't able to perform his job (as an airline pilot) due to the stress from water retention and then going in high altitudes (on a side note, NEVER SUBBA DIVE AND THEN GET ON A PLANE, your body has to regulate itself). my father became disabled and had to manage taking pills, pills and more pills daily (mainly diuretics) to keep his body fluid free. if he didn't take them, his body retained water. after 9 years of managing it, his diuretics failed to work (body immunity) and gained nearly 20 lbs of pure water in a matter of hours/days. it's scary and in short he eventually had a heart transplant to save his life.
i hope he makes it as it sounds he's having major complications.

That is the simple laws of supply/demand. I have zero problems with providing supply to those demanding a product.

I wish him the best, an all time great Knick for his hustle and heart, which will hopefully heal after his 9 hour surgery.

Previously having his cards listed and people pressing the buy it now is completely different than those clicking the buy it now today upon hearing the news only to take advantage of the situation by relisting higher (flipping for death). Which side of the fence are you on?

It doesn't matter. Don't worry who side he or she is on. It is their choice.

he doesnt look that fat to me in that pic, hes leaning forward and u cant even see that much of him, but i think he did get pretty heavy, but still probably pretty muscular. maybe its something that is genetic, unless he did steroids or something, he was pretty huge & ripped. and the majority of all athletes gain a lot of weight after they retire cause theyre tired of all the exercise they had to do for their entire lives up to their retirement, and they want a break.

Indeed. Also pro football lost one of it's great men with the passing of Ed Sabol. It's been a sad week for sports as a whole.
