Panini does it again - check out this retail box of Crown Royale

Got this box of retail Crown Royale from the local Target.


Scooped the 4 packs out of the box & got excited because they were all bricks.:flex:

Not sure if I'm even going to bother messing with Customer Service just so they can send me a pair of $2 jersey cards of undrafted/unsigned free agents who aren't even on the roster of the team that's on the card.


Anyone know how many hits are supposed to be in the retail boxes, anyways?

I've seen some retail boxes go hitless. I'm not sure if crown retail says anything about guaranteed hits on the box but in my experience it's been one auto (or points card) and one relic.

the $40 are guaranteed. think its 2 gu and 1 auto. not sure tho

I've had them have at least a points card in them but They are at least a hit per box

But one I bought had 1gu sillottes and an auto .. So I assume they at least have one gar hit

The $40 retail boxes DO NOT guarantee any hits whatsoever. Most boxes do have at least one auto and one relic card. I've opened around 10-15 of these boxes and know for sure that there's nothing guaranteed on them.

I thought that might have happened for a second, but there was zero evidence.

Wrapper was on solid, packs were tightly closed.

Nothing to make me think anything besides Panini being Panini.

Look at it this way, those blanks are more useful than most of the "hits" you would get.

I just busted a Crown Royale Retail and hit a Demaryius Thomas patch card /99 and a Chris Borland 1/1 Rookie Signatures auto. There were also three numbered parallels. I will posting the pics in another thread.
