Do you consider this as an "on card" auto? It looks like they put the wood piece on the card and then it was autographed but clearly it's not "the" card or is it once it's pasted to the card? I'm thinking of buying it but I'm against sticker autos..... Does this seem "stickerish" or on card. I think it's on card..... I want to see what you guys think.

There's no link/picture
Edit: Nevermind
I'd say it's on card. The Wade signature goes on to the card stock, past the "wood"

Usually embedded signature pieces like this are open for debate as to whether its on-card or not, but from this example and others it clearly seems as if the wood was already on the card when the athletes signed them. To me, that is just as "on-card" as anything else.

Technically on card but I don't favor this kind of card.

100% on-card auto, the sign out of the wood is awesome!
If the thing the player was signing was embedded in the card when they signed it (which is clearly the case here) then it's on-card. How could it not be?

On card 100%, signed as a card.

Before I saw the Wade run-off I would have assumed it was just signed pieces of wood later glued to the card. Now? On card. Thanks for sharing.

One of my favorite sets actually, 04/05 hardcourt. On-card partner

I'm not a big fan of autographed wood, plastic or cardboard inserted into cardboard.
It's better than a sticker, but still not that appealing.

This is a very versatile design, since it could fall either way. If you have the cards on hand, you can have the players sign, or send the two piece to different places, and boom. Auto card.

I personally wouldn't consider it on card, I also don't like the design.

It appears then that the wood piece was already a part of the card when Odom signed, but do we know if the wood was on the card for Wade? Maybe, maybe not! So I guess this is just a matter of opinion. What would everyone think if for some reason the sticker was already placed on card and then signed? Sure that would never happen.
I think if the piece signed is not part of the same card stock and its a cut out piece or something like these wood pieces then no it's not on card.

I know I'll probably regret asking, but why?

We know they didn't put the pieces of wood in at different times because that wouldn't make any sense at all. Why would they put one piece of wood in the card, get it signed, then get the other piece of wood signed, split the card back open and insert it into the card as well? It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of common sense.
If whatever the player signed is already attached/embedded into the card when the player signs it then it's "on card". I don't understand why it's even up for debate. The player had to physically touch the card to sign it.

To me the only thing that is on card is ink directly on the surface. Nothing else. Not saying it's terrible but the fact that it's not on card to me and I dislike the design I would certainly prefer a different set.
