i would have expected a price increase if there were several rookies doing really well. if jabari was avging almost 20ppg, randle was doing well, embiid was playing in the second half of the season, etc etc etc. unfortunately only wiggins is doing really well and lavine has bumped up after the dunk contest. many of the other top rcs are hurt for long stretches and or playing decent/ok, not great.

hard to pay $100+ more on preorder of 14-15 than either of the previous two years. of course itll probably be $525-$550 within a couple days of release, but still it stinks its been raised that much to start with.

i mean at this point you could get 5 boxes of 14-15 select for $45 more than 1 box of immaculate. the odds are you would get a few awesome cards from 5 boxes, much riskier on 1 box of immaculate. you could almost get 2 full cases of select for the price of 1 immaculate. 24 boxes compared to 5.

this also tells me that because i think panini still seems to think national treasures is ranked higher than immaculate, maybe, that national treasures is gonna come out at 600 presell and be 100% avoidable & horrible at that price.

On the flip side, you need to average $63 a card in football to break even, a difference of $17. With how much stronger the basketball market seems to be than football, if I had to choose, I'd roll with Immaculate basketball over Immaculate football.

I think they will increase the price when cases are back UP online.

I can remember case prices went constantly UP the past 2 years.
But with such a huge price tag this year and one box less Panini will have to include some serious case hits. One Multi signed AU per case and one RPA per pack or something.

Moreover I think it will be pushed back at least two weeks.

I think for Panini's business model, they factor in costs of staff, acquiring jerseys, shipping costs, etc etc...to get the cards produced and done. Plus making a profit is the whole idea of business right? or else why bother....

Back in the day you could purchase a box of Upper Deck SP Game Used or Upper Deck Trilogy for $150 and pull a magical high end Jordan auto, or a dual Jordan/Kobe auto, Jordan/Lebron auto though ;) So you were spot on until you got to the last comment.

Panini has done it again for LCS's. The are requiring a 22-24 box purchase of Gold Standard or Select in order to get a case of Immaculate. So if you are a small LCS, you either have to buy a case of a product that has already seen major hits listed on ebay for a while now with less box break desire... or you can have too much Select to sell at your LCS. This also explains why right now it's about a $175 markup... gotta make back your money somewhere.

Not really. It is not like Immaculate has 6x patch/auto cards in a box. Topps Dynasty just does not have filter card. Immaculate, NT, Exquiste all have filter cards. 5 cards per box? It is more like 4 trash and 1 good one. But you guys are paying extra $150 for those 4 trash.

I know thats the case in many of the boxes. But not all. You're still getting 6 cards - and many of those "filler" cards still go for $15 - $20, not huge money by any means but not nothing either.

Even though the hyped Rookie class disappointed over all I still think there will be coming out more Stars than just Wiggins. Smart, Randle, Parker and some others will come back strong.

For $500+ a box for 14/15, that's crazy. I'd rather pay $600+ for 12/13, the way the rookies are selling. My opinion is Wiggins isn't going to sell for what Davis, Thompson, and some of the other 12/13 rookies are bringing. Wait til the 14/15 comes out and it has reward points like the FB does.
