I just started this thread because I am really wondering about collectors of sticker auto vs on card First off if the triple in the set was on card, I would not even be curious.
Im not bashing the triple, its an awesome card and and deserves every bit attention it gets. This just my own personal feelings and opinions.
So as a collector , which triple if both cost the same, and maybe in reality , in the end they won't be that far apart value wise, would you choose?
They are both in front of you 1/1 Ford Framed, X/28 framed Hamill, and x/28 framed Fisher , all on card.. on the other side you have x/2 triple stickered of the big three.
Now, without question if had all three 1/1 framed that be the clear winner.
So given the above.. and could only choose one.. which one and why.
thanks

I'd go with the 3 individual cards. 1st, they'd be for my PC, so what do I care about the "rarity" of the card? Second, the signatures look better. You can see that they are less cramped and more natural. I would take the three cards & get them framed, and hang them on the wall.

I'd choose the 3 separate on-card autos... easily! Not only do they look nicer... it looks like the signers provided larger autos than on the sticker, but they also are (currently) cheaper to purchase.

To me, on card has a more personal "touch". Sticker auto's feel more "assembly line".

No question about it.......A triple autograph booklet.

Haha... I was going to recommend to people to buy 3 separate autos on eBay and commission you to do one of your great booklets! That would be a cost-effective way to get a wonderful triple (assuming the autos are purchased through a reputable source).

Speaking of "assembly line"... does quality of auto play an important part in the price one is willing to pay for an auto? Like would you prefer to buy the first auto signed than the last auto?
Looking at the completed listings for Ford autos, it looks like there is some variation in auto quality (likely due to him signing a group of them one after another).
Here is the $2,600+ card with a clear "H"

And the auction card that just sold for <$2600 where the "H" looks more like an "A"

Would you bid a different amount on either of the above cards based on the auto quality? Or would you bid the same since they are both signed by Harrison Ford?
I'm just wondering to what extent auto quality effects price (if at all).

It would certainly be under the 10K mark. I think sticker autos from Pop Century and Family Guy for Fisher and Hamill. Ford would be the toughest but not impossible. The perfect option would be to get the trio at a signing on the triple booklet.

I'd go for the three singles as well.

Speaking of "assembly line"... does quality of auto play an important part in the price one is willing to pay for an auto? For me, yes. Only if there is a plethora of selection. If not, I just count my blessings and get the first auto. Like would you prefer to buy the first auto signed than the last auto? Of course, the one with the better H.

Definitely 3 on card autos. Unless you pulled it in a box and it only cost $250:D

Yeah... I think if I was going to dump over $2 grand on an autograph I would be pretty picky and go with the one with the clear "H" as well.

I think it's interesting to see the wide variations in Harrison autographs that appear on eBay.. here are a few of his other auto cards from other sets:

It looks like when he is given more space, he changes his auto a bit. I think the 1st pictured Masterwork is my favorite of the group, although the encapsilated PSA/DNA one clearly spells out "Harrison"... which would make that one a nice get too.

The on card autographs every day of the week. And definitely there's a premium 4 quality of autograph. Prime example would be the parks and rec Amy poehler incentive card. I held out buying because the signatures all looked so terrible. I finally found one that looked like more than a sloppy AP.
I don't care if the sticker card is 1/1 I only get on card unless no other autograph is available. Even then I sometimes can't bring myself to get them (those horrible looking sticker supernatural autos). Luckily in that case crypto made a few of the better sticker autos on card.
