So i had purchased this jersey about 2-3 years ago and finally had it framed. I loved how he signed going up the 4 and how clean it was. Not very many out there that look like this.

So I paid $200 at a local place to get it framed. When I got it back I was a little disappointed how basic it looked. He didn't even put his full name on the plate!

So then this popped up on my ebay feed the other day. One of the nicest framed jerseys ive ever seen. Everything is super crisp and he really put some great accents on it. I asked how much to frame my jersey and he will frame for $325 dlvd. Compared to what I paid for crap and what people charge around here I think thats a hell of a deal. I think I will have to write off that other fram and get it redone!

Wow, I could do without the pictures and logos. But the way that jersey looks so tight and clean is awesome!!

Yeah, I dunno man. $200 gets a great looking frame job around my parts.

Agreed, I can get a frame similar to the bottom one for $195...

Nonetheless, still a nice signed Griffey piece!

I like the clean lines of the top one. I would get a new name plate, but short of that I vote the first one.

I think the sleeves looks weird on the second jersey

Did you not have any say in how you wanted yours to look? I wouldn't have accepted it if I didn't like it!

I agree....I would just get a new name plate. I actually like the first one, it's more basic.

I thought the same thing

Second one looks like a framed piece of cardboard, I'd be a fan of the first one if it had maybe a full nameplate/photo

I think you should stick with the top one.
get a new nameplate, and maybe have a mariners patch also added into the matting alongside the nameplate... or get the same nameplate that the bottom one has.

I think the 2nd ones sleeves look kind of weird. As nice as it is, it looks almost fake. That said, if you're going to re do yours, this site does it quite reasonably and they look great.

I agree. Sleeves don't look right on the 2nd one. I would go with the 1st one and change the name plate, cleaner look to me.

The second one looks like a fake jersey. Whatever he does to blow out the sleeves is too weird.

Just get a custom name plate for the top one. Either go back to the original guy and have him pop it in or do it yourself. You can probably get a nice etched plate that will fit in there for under $30. It's not the best frame job but that second one is just odd.

You guys are definitely all crazy lol. That first one looks like garbage compared to the second one.

2nd one looks like white pieces of wood that are glued together with patches on it. Agree with everyone else - get a new plate for the 1st one.

The top one looks like a real jersey. The bottom one doesn't.

But it's your jersey, whatever you think looks best!

It's definitely an option, plus I've only heard good things about them.

I don't know. I like the 2nd one. I've been meaning to do the same with my UDA Tacoma Rainiers jersey, but I don't have anywhere to display it yet.

I'll prob pick up a bat and a ball and add that to a frame. The Yankees jersey on the homepage is pretty clean.

Based on the prices they have tho basically a frame job like my first one is $200, and the charge $350 for the one like my second so it's not like $325 is crazy. Here is a link to that guys site. I actually like the Mariano. I like the way the jersey is framed on the bottom one it's different and impeccably done.

The one with the 2 photos and the nameplate for 199 seems like a good deal. As much as I like the other one, I can't see spending 150 more on it.

I gotta agree, the bottom one looks weird, he did a great job getting wrinkles and all out, but it presents odd, looks like a cartoon and not a real jersey. If I saw both of those at the same price, I would prob get the 1st one.

Yea it's no question. Every Griffey guy I showed it to thought it was 10x better than the first. I like that it's not a generic run of the mill frame job and that it's got a style to it.

I think the discussion is moreso about the jersey itself. The 2nd framing looks 100x better than the first, but to me the jersey, looking so uniform and perfect, makes it look artificial.

Your jersey looked great but yeah weak plate. Congrats on the new ourchse, I recognize the work. It's another Texan here in Houston that did that work. $325 is an absolute steal! I have 9 framed jerseys at the house and the CHEAP ONES were $400 to frame. You basically got the jersey free!! Great pickup.
