Quick ebay search shows that Chael Sonnen does not yet have an Autographed card...
This may be one of his best cards for the moment...

Silva is an all-around fighter. He can do it standing up or on the ground if he needs to. That's what makes him P4P the best in the world.

Silva called out gsp and shogun to meet him at 185 lbs. This just tells me that he's not worried about sonnen.

Did not look like he killed him. He won but only cause Sonnen was too aggressive in the 5th round and got caught in a triangle arm-bar sick fight. Great fight though.

Your right sonnen didn't want to deal with silva's stand up. The great fighters take other fighters out of their comfort zone and make them fight their game!! That is exactly what Sonnen did and he DOMINATED Silva. It's about time someone exposed Silva for what he really is. If Sonnen doesn't get caught he wins every round and takes the belt home. Silva knew he got his #@#@#@ beat that's why he got down on his knees after the fight in front of Sonnen. I hope he gets another shot.

I agree 100%. He has been exposed by before, it just took Sonnen to show it. I'm pretty sure White will probably give Sonnen a rematch. Then again, with Silva's contract at the end - maybe not. However, you better believe that whoever fights him next - is going to watch this match over and over and take lots of notes. Silva, won the match - but he did by no means win the war.

I knew this card would be awesome and it was, only thing is there seemed to be something wrong with silva, and I am not talking about his ribs. No way Sonnen takes him down like that when Henderson could not take him down like that if you know what I mean. It seemed scripted to me how Silva would throw a few punches and get taken down and stay there and sonnen never could do anything with him, but they stayed on the ground and never really improved their positions until silva caught him in the last round. Silva is a smart enough fighter to know after the first round he had to keep it standing so you would think he would guard more against the takedown. Oh well, great fights, cannot complain, but something was not right about the silva fight, dana white needs to stay out of the ring next time.

i was at the fight last night and i noticed something in the second round. silva knew sonnen would keep coming at him with take downs because his wrestleing is great.he also noticed sonnen didnt stop throwing punches even if he was tired. at every end of the round silva would wait until sonnen is too tired and go for a submisson. he failed a couple times but finally got a triangle when sonnen was out of breath at the end.had sonnen not go back trying to finish silva,he would of won,but hes an aggresor and wanted to really punch a hole in silvas face. a rematch is only possible if silva beats belfort and sonnen beats whoever he fights next.

well as great as henderson is , he is not chael . it was a different matchup. certain guys match up better. i beleive andersons last loss was to chonen. the guy isnt that great but he found a way to beat him. so they fight 5 more times and anderson probably wins them all. but that particular night chonen beat him .

That was a fluke move "Chonan" pulled off that made Anderson tap. Sonnen beat Andersons ass for pretty much the entire match. Sonnen whooped his ass and owned him, and Anderson pulled out a submission like Ryo did. Like I said, Anderson won that battle, but he did not win the war. You an Anderson fan boy?

Different matchup I agree, but Henderson would have no problems with Chael Sonnen IMO. Silva was trying to please the boss and that took him out of his style of fighting, or either silva wanted sonnen to take him down and see who was really better. Just a weird, but at the time same time great fight. Belfort is a beast, silva may get his first loss as belfort is fast and has KO power. Cannot wait!!! And yes Silva got beat the entire fight, he was looking for a submission the entire fight I think, but am I alone is thinking Dana White was controlling this fight???

Dana had zero to do with controlling this fight. Anderson was injured prior to the fight and was told by docs not to proceed with the fight.
He's now out until next year due to cracked ribs
A rib injury which nearly forced Anderson Silva out of Saturday’s UFC 117 main event against Chael Sonnen will likely sideline the UFC middleweight champ until February or March, according to Tatame.
With the UFC considering an immediate rematch for Sonnen and a title shot for Vitor Belfort, the promotion could have the contenders square off this fall to determine who will challenge Silva when he returns next year

I'm right here. White boy may have won the battle, but Silva won the war. Like someone else said, Silva was probably fighting at 50% and still won due to cracked ribs. Also, Silva was smart/tough to let Sonnen tee off on him and waste his energy.

Yeah I have to agree, that takes a lot out of someone let alone fighting 5 rounds. I guess I was expecting him to come out firing on all cylinders and when that did not happen it seemed strange. Still a great fight and a great card that did not disappoint. Cannot imagine Silva vs Belfort right now, that will be insane.

Anderson Silva was injured, I could tell from the beginning of the fight something was wrong with him. Big deal Sonnen dominated an injured Silva. GSP is the best pound for pound fighter bar none. Aldo? lmao.
If Silva wasn't injured he would've won before the end of the second round by tko/sub, no questions asked.

Interesting fight saturday, Sonnen dominated but Silvas patience paid off. I would love to see GSP and Silva square off. Titles could not be on the line due to the fact that they fight in diffrent weight classes. Agreeing to meet at 178 would be fair. They would have to sign waivers agreeing to fight out of weight class, and it would have to be labeled an "exibition" but I do think it would prove who was the best pfp in the world. I know Blake you would not agree with me but GSP would destroy him.

I'm no racist... I just thought Sonnen was a total doucher. I like both Silva and GSP and I think it would be a heck of a fight. I don't think there are any favorites/underdogs as they are both very skilled in their own unique ways which makes it a tough call.

IMHO GSP would murder Silva. Not because of seeing this last Sonnen fight, but it did expose Silva's short comings even more. I do think GSP's game is much more well rounded than Silva's. I don't think it'll happen anytime soon though. GSP has the Koscheck fight after TUF and Silva Sonnen 2 is bound to take place.

GSP vs Silva would be a great fight, but GSP would not murder Silva. It could go either way, but Silva can KO GSP with one punch and GSP will not KO silva period. On the ground GSP has an advantage with his GNP, but again Silva showed he can win off his back even with cracked ribs/

If there's Silva VS GSP fight, I'm going to bet on GSP.
I love Silva, he is a phenomenal striker but GSP has better ground game and since GSP likes ground lately, I'm pretty sure he will take SILVA down and try to TKO him.

It would be IMO the greatest MMA fight of all-time, Silva would win I think as his standup is way more versatile than GSP, but GSP is nasty on the ground and Silva is nasty off his back, so many variables come into play with this fight. My prediction is Silva by KO in the 1st or 2nd round.

Silva is from Brazil. They wrote the book on MMA fighting, and Silva is

If it happens its going to be a long wait. I believe Belfort (if healthy), is up next for Silva, then I would assume a Sonnen rematch? Koscheck or Fitch is next for Gsp. The first fight with Gsp and Fitch was very fun to watch, Fitch was taking a beating, but would not quit. I could be wrong but doesnt Dana White not like Silva because of some of his shenanigans in the ring? Gsp might be the only option at this point as far as somebody having the ability to beat Silva. I do know that if Silva rematches Sonnen, im betting the farm on silva, theres no way hes gonna let himself get in that position again. I give him his props though, he was patient and it paid off, ask any good fighter and they will tell you that you can lose a few rounds in the start of a fight, its the last rounds that count and stick in the judges head.

White has no reason to dislike Silva. He's made White a ton of money,
and is great to watch. If White jacks around and doesn't pit Silva vs.
GSP, it would be a shame. To be honest, If I were Silva, I wouldn't let
White jerk me around much longer. He needs to give go ahead and give
him a shot at GSP. Just my opinion.

Regardless of Silva's talent, White has a big reason to hate Silva for acting like a goof in 3 fights and giving the sport such a bad look. Sonnen gets my respect for beating some sense into his head.

I think the reason he acted goofy was from being upset that
White is trying to cash in on as many fights as possible, instead
of giving him a shot at the top. I mean does Silva need to prove
anything by beating up chumps? No. Quit screwing us out of money
White and give us something worthwhile:flex:

Fun to watch, maybe for you, but watching Fitch get beaten to a pulp and really never even mount an attack was not fun. It would be as pointless as me going in the octagon and taking on GSP, not worth the time or effort. Koscheck is a joke, and his only chance would be landing lucky bomb like serra did. Neither are worthy or stand a chance of beating GSP, so why not make the silva fight happen.

I agree with Koscheck, hes a jerkoff, Gsp would rip him to pieces and I would be happy to pay $44.99 to see it. If they did make the GSP/Silva fight happen it would not surprise me if they jacked the price up even higher. Its getting to the point that Silva and Gsp are so dominate that they are gonna have to let them fight to keep people interested( and paying for ppv)

I'll tell you why. Its because White, in spite of saying he is all about
giving us good fights is trying to retire on a good thing. And as far as
Silva acting goofy in that one fight, I blame White. Hes mad because
Silva didn't go in there and finish it in 10 seconds. Well if he knew that
would happen(and I think he did) then why waste Silvas time, and more
importantly our money. Untill he gets Silva vs GSP, I vote we don't waste
any more of our money.
