If any of you have a contact with Topps that can help fix a situation, I'd appreciate it.

Here's what happened. I bought a couple of packs of Topps Prime a month or so ago and pulled card #88 Wes Welker, the variation card. However, the card had some damage on the card like one of the manufacturing machines got a hold of it. So I sent it in, and they send me back card #88 Wes Welker, the standard base card, in its place. They said they were out of the variation version, so they sent what they had, the standard version. This is totally unacceptable IMO as they should've either sent another variation card of another player they had in stock or asked if there was someone else I wanted instead. It may only be a difference of a few dollars in value, but a variation should only be replaced by a variation.

you're most likely stuck, OP.

Get a hold of the same people, send the Welker back and get a different variation. I am pretty sure that's all it will take.

Topps the worst company customer service I've ever dealt with not just in the card industrie but in general. I've talked to that sharp guy promised the world then never did anything for me.
