So I have listed on eBay a 2013 Bowman Sterling Carlos Correa Base auto. Started the auction at $14.99. Got a few bids, it was up to $19 or something like that, then a bidder gets it up to $22.

Most of the bidders had 0 feedback. I get an e-mail about 8 hours before the auction ended stating that the high bidder is no longer a registered user, and the next highest bidder at $18.49 was now the leading bidder.

That person had a 0 feedback. After 5 days, I sent a non-paying bidder notice and then 2 days later I get an e-mail stating that my case was closed because that user is no longer a registered user.

So I relisted the card - same starting price - $14.99 and there was a pretty quick bid at that level - from what looks to be a good buyer (4339 feedback). Another 0 feedback bidder that opened an account on March 3rd bid something higher than that - so it is now at $15.49.

There is 1 day and 4 hours left.

What do I do? I am not shill bidding, but I fear if I cancel the 0 feedback bidder's bid it might appear that I am shill bidding. Maybe someone will outbid this guy, but something smells funny to me.

I guess it could be a legit bidder that just joined and maybe I will get paid - but I am not sure what is going on.

Any ideas?

You have some douche that's trying to drive up the price, because the $20 card is probably the centerpiece of his collection.

Block the 0 bidder and hope someone bids higher.

Thanks for the responses. It just seems strange to me for a $20 card. It almost seems like its not worth it to sell it lol

I ran into a similar thing when I was trying to sell my old cell phone on ebay. Zero feedback buyers came out of the woodworks and then not pay when they won.

You can set your buyer preferences so zero feedback bidders can't bid on your item.

Block the 0 bidder and hope someone bids higher.

If his proxy is set higher then even blocking him his bids could increase. He just won't be able to make new bids.

No you cannot.. You can keep them from bidding on multiple items but there is no setting that allows you to block a zero FB buyer.

What is it with this Correa card?

This time a buyer with a 100% feedback (13) won it and still hasn't paid after 5 days. I haven't had this issue with any other sales (not that I have sold that many)

Always put a disclaimer in your listing that states if your feedback in under (you select number) please email me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Then just cancel 0 feedback bids.

Always put a disclaimer in your listing that states if your feedback in under (you select number) please email me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Then just cancel 0 feedback bids.

And that will do nothing. What is a buyer contacting you before they bid really going to do? I file more unpaid items on members with thousands of feedback and have more issues with veterans that know how to gam the system than newbies.

As a bidder if I see a listing with a lot of cancelled bids or I see the seller cancelling bids I will likely pull my bid as well.

What happens if they snipe or hit BIN?
