Is there a company that makes custom movie figures?

Is there some kind of company that makes custom figures from movies that you can order? I was really hoping they were going to make figures for edge of tomorrow. I'm not sure as I know the movie company has the rights to stuff like that, but I wasn't sure if there was a company that could make you a custom figure without any likeness to the actual actor. If anyone has any info on something like this that would be great. Thanks!

Yes and no, bare with me this will take a minute to explain.

No, no company legally produces custom movie figures because they require licenses of all kinds and not having them makes it copyright infringement which is bad lol. However, 1/6th scale sculptors often make custom pieces to attach to 1/6th scale "blank" figures to make virtually anything you could ever want.

I'll just make up an example. You buy a blank figure, you decide you want a really cool ninja. You find a custom ninja head, from there you acquire standard hands, feet, then go around and with enough time you'll find all the little pieces needed to build your very own 1/6th scale ninja toy. I've seen SO many celebrity head sculpts that making nearly anything you want should be doable. There are also sculptors who will just make you whatever head you want because making just the head as an artistic thing isn't illegal. Or at least isn't worried about. Other people make custom clothes and outfits or will make you whatever outfit you want.

So the answer is no but yes lol. I hope this helps? I've tried to be as non-confusing as possible. Yes this does pretty much limit you to 1/6th scale. I have not seen it outside of that scale.
