Yeah I posted this in the Bulls forum yesterday, crazy! I paid $7 for this card about a month ago.

False advertising? "The rarest type of rookie cards found."

Shill bidder helped a bit on that one. 2 feedback, 33 bids, 100% activity with that seller.

If I were buying for a PC I would refuse to over pay and be shilled for cards like this that aren't limited. It's amazing how many buyers out there really have no logical understanding of how things work and/or they have too much disposable income to care about being taken advantage of...

These base Prizm refractors are very...unstable in their values.

Wiggins' are selling in the $100+ range. I managed to get in early and pick up a Jabari and a few others.

It seems the print run for this parallel may be less then first thought, at least for the rookies.

Honestly what are people thinking? I mean on a high end this is a $10 card.

The "shiller" only bid once on this item, is that correct?

Wiggins Prizms are selling for a much higher price than Nikola, they aren't even in the same ball park.

A Nikola red /49 just ended at $30 about 10 minutes ago.

Ebay's algorithms are pathetic if this guy hasn't been busted for shilling yet. Shame on that seller.

The refractors aren't that rare. Based on breaks we estimated them at a print run of 250-400 in a previous thread. Blue mojo and blue wave are much more rare.

As I said, unstable.

These Prizm refractors, are all going up in value it seems.

Nikola is also one of the few rookies to show any sort of promise.

I wouldn't have paid this much for it, but each to their own.

LOL yep, if someone wants to drop $60 on a $10 card they can have at it!

I am sooooo glad I grabbed some of the major Nikola color Prizms cheap earlier this year. I hate overpaying for PC players.

I had a decent flip earlier this year with a red die-cut Nikola, after that, I've stayed away from this years rookie class for the most part. The prices are insanely over the top for a lot of them.

Thanks guys, so there was really nothing I missed. Just dumbass/rich buyers + willing to throw down whatever $$$ amount necessary. Amazing someone overpaid by $60 for this. These are certainly abundant enough. Why can't I ever get buyers like this??? lol

I have seen only two blue mojo on the Bay, one where the seller keeps listing for $140BIN and the other where the bidder only listed it as a regular Blue prizm, which I picked up for $6. The picture the seller used was not the best but I could see it was the Mojo.

It may not simply be someone overpaying.

It could be price-fixing.

People sometimes 'invest' in muliples of singles that aren't rare but aren't common, then they shill up one or two auctions for sale to "set" a new price for that card for people to see. Then when the following auctions come up, people see that the last one 'sold' for that higher amount and think that's the 'going rate'

Ahhh got it, people actually get fooled by that? lol
I would hope anyone looking for a particular card at least does their homework.

Who gives a crap? If you don't want to pay it...don't. I definitely wouldn't. But prices rising on rookie performances is normal and it helps everyone in the end.
