will those manufactured inserts be worth anything? 180 a box right? seems like Panini's response to Triple Threads....except that the base/inserts replace the larger amount of base in TTT.

Overall, they looks nice, and I applaud Panini for changing it up a bit.

Wait a minute. That Sammy Watkins looks as though he signed that card in-person. So Panini put those "paper stickers" in the card first then had the player sign them? Why not just have on-card autos, Panini?

18 cards:
5 base
5 symbol/logo cards
2 triple relic
1 quad relic
1 gold standard

2 autos
2 patch/relic autos

for $360!

EDIT...actually $380. Listed at $190 per box on cardboardconnection.com

It looks horrendous.

But trapped autos are signed paper first and then inserted into the card after the fact. Panini actually designed the card that way to be hard signed. Its freaking stupid. Typical Panini.

This product, outside of the cards that look like Strata Clear Cuts, looks so terrible I cant even put it into words. What is Black Gold anyways?

When I think of Black Gold, I think of something like a 1970s blacksploitation movie about a jewelry loving female cop who is taking it to the streets and roughing up some jive turkeys.

Actually, I'm not sure about this. If you look at the Sammy auto, it looks like the pen followed the "box" outline...like he did in fact sign the card after it was made. The left side looks like he bumped up against the box and same with the bottom of his signature where the bottom curve follows the curve of the card. terrible. Would be a sick card if it was on card.

Or it could be code for the oil you have to buy seperately in order for these boxes not to hurt so bad.

Be warned my friend, they are ridiculously thick. From what I've gathered, thicker means sellers try charging more for them until one strays off and lists an auction or fair price. I've had two guys try and sell me the generic /149 versions and they both were asking for like $100 because they were "THICK!". I just hope thats not everyone's mentality lol.

Not quite sure that is what the did, at least not for all of them. Check out this Barr auto that Chris at Infinity pulled. Notice the top of the "B" following the top of the black? It looks like it was signed after the fact...

Not sure why they would do this? Unless they could get some in person and others had to be sent. No clue...

I still think the design is pretty solid on these.

On-Card > Paper > Sticker

The problem is they market them as on-card, where it's debatable on whether 'paper-signed' counts as on-card.

They did this in a basketball product a while ago, I think it was Innovation.

This reminds me of 2005 Exquisite Football. Beckett doesn't count the RPAs (like Rodgers) as on-card, and it does look like a similar design as far as the auto signed on a 2nd layer beneath the top layer.

For sure, they did pretty well with the design.

I also like the fact that it was done on paper rather than the acetate. Some of the acetate cards in this set look like they have faded signatures already. The gold on black just pops on these.

Agreed. It is a shady that the consider it hard-signed, but for presentation's purposes it is much nice. I think they did it in the baseball Immaculate release (the Freddie Freeman's look really nice... but I digress).

It has layers. Who doesn't like layers!?

Can't argue on the poor overall breaks on this for the price. The Shield and Team Logo cards? No thanks. Its been pretty limited breaks showing up on the boards here. We will see this stuff on for $99 a box at the National in Chicago. The hype machine was working overtime on this one, and it looks like fewer people may have bit, so I was happy to see that. Immaculate embarrasses this stuff in general and my only hopes is that NT can salvage an otherwise lacklustre year for Panini. I sure miss Upper Deck.

I've loved most of the Panini sets this year... when the price drops! I think Immaculate would be a good buy at 275 a box. They set the prices way to high for every product especially high end. So does topps though, everything topps this year has tanked in value.

ive seen a crap ton of those broken already. i did 2 cases myself and loved it. i did get 2 pretty loaded cases. this forum isnt the only place ppl post breaks and cards they pulled. i dont see prices falling at all. ppl here need to open a product and see it in there own hands before they judge something. Im a pretty casual collector. I've bought plenty of singles from 2014 products, only bought 3 boxes. These relic cards have worn out their welcome in my opinion. These cards look great, but why would I spend a few hundred to get a patch/auto numbered to 199 or a triple relic numbered to 99? This is pretty much the same stuff from Elite, Limited and Certified just a different design. These high end products should give a little more.

Busted 3 boxes and tossed everything on ebay immediately.
Flawless or Immaculate is the product of the year.
These black/gold will hold virtually zero value down the road.

I'd rather buy a box of this over a box of Triple Threads, which is what it is trying to go up against IMO. Both products are too expensive, though.

Flawless product of the year? Might as well call the Flawless Wilson "game worn" the card of the year if that's the case.

Guys, do you not get that the cards were hard signed? Yes, Panini actually produced these cards the way they look, and the players signed on the paper.

They could have had these hard signed with no paper. Instead Panini thought these were good looking just the way they are. They look like garbage.

We are not going to agree on this. If you get them hard signed, why would they separate out that area with the paper? They did this in immaculate baseball, and it disrupts the whole look of the card. If they could get hard signed regular autographs with a normal space for the players to sign, it wouldnt look like poop.
