How has your interest in the hobby changed, if at all, over the last five years?

As a whole this hobby means to me, all sports. Been away from basketball since Panini got the exclusive. Football I have gotten my ass kicked, thanks T Chrome. I Think moving forward it is all singles pick and choose. I am about done with prospecting moving towards comics as a whole focusing on First Appearances and gonna try to grade some books by years end.

I've never been more into collecting than now, the 'good old days' of collecting for me were 94-2001 where I loved it as much, maybe more, but because I actually have money today I collect more often, more items and more high end.

I have to say it is much higher now - I've not really been into "collecting" cards to keep for myself until recently. I'm having a blast - so much cool stuff is out there.

I've been collecting since the early 90s...I feel like the major companies are shooting themselves in the foot. Its no longer about quality of the experience. Its more about quantity. It's become a consumption type of lifestyle for a lot of people. With that said, I am less interested in collecting because of the consumption aspect. I mean you open 20 bucks in packs and find nothing spectacular and then you feel a withdrawal because you have not pulled a decent card and you want to buy more. It can become an addiction.

Mine is about the same as its been for about 10yrs. I rarely bust wax, mainly pick up singles off ebay or comc.

I bought my first hockey cards in 1969-70 ... wish like everyone else I still had some of them ... collected baseball in the late seventies

I have mainly did football and basketball up until last year but I had a family member put me on to the joy of baseball now I am hooked. I am always looking to branch out and am going to start getting SIs signed in person. To answer the question I am more interested in the hobby today.
