just got a look at yesterdays game who is excited about mookie's inside the park homerun in yesterdays game!!

Exactly this, that was at best a triple and an error and even that would be generous. No doubt kid is exciting but facts are facts.

If an outfielder "loses a ball" that is by definition an error which would not make a home run possible. Technically Mookie hit an inside the park hr but only because the official scorer was drunk, asleep or both.

after a quick search a few guys have done it leatley tho greg gagne in 1986 i never herd of him but he has 2 in one game

It isn't like he was only up for a cup of coffee either, dude played for 15 years and has over 1,400 hits. Man, age creeps up quick, I still feel (and act) 18 but I see things like this and realize;

Just to clarify, despite my comment above, I am a fan of Mookie.

He is my son's favorite player, we saw him play in Portland last year and traveled to Pawtucket a few days before he got called up.

(and no, the son is not a metaphor for anything, nor am I the son)
