Looking for some graphing partners for the upcoming season. I graph the AAA International league (Paw Sox). Would love to find someone in a completely opposite league with teams like the Cubs, Dodgers, etc prospects. Let me know if some of you guys would like in and I'm sure we can figure out something. Thanks!

What's a "graphing partner"?
And yes, it's a serious question.

50/50 is where you get X amount of cards or items signed and you send 50% of them back to the other person.
Example: say you go see the Chicago Cubs. I want Javier Baez autograph and I send you 4 cards to get signed. Mr Baez signs all 4, you keep 2 and send 2 back to me.

I always thought that 50/50 was you send me cards and I send you cards of guys whose autos were obtained. So, you're telling me that people go and stand in a parking lot, and embarrass the living bejesus outta themselves for a couple of crappy common cards?!

I actually don't do cards. I'll usually get baseball's signed and trade with other members on here for ones I need. It helps bulk the collection. I've never waited with a binder or anything like that with 12000 cards for someone to sign.

I am planning to take my son to a bunch of PawSox games this year. Do they still sign when you hang stuff down before the game or is it mainly after the game by the bus?

1) Bad example. Baez almost never signs and when he does he ssuuurrreee as hell aint signing more than 1 :)
2) what happens in a 50/50 when a player only signs 1 card?

Yanksfan, let me help you out a little bit here. You go to a game, and you get the autograph of none other than Jesus Christ (who happens to be wearing a Cubs uniform, with the last name 'Bryant').
There, now all of the cardboard hoarders-who coincidentally find it necessary to poke fun at people collecting autographs-can totally understand.
Anytime you aren't getting through to people on here, just add Kris Bryant.

Haha thanks. It's no biggie, though. Its something you get used to on these boards. I don't get why people get ragged on at times when they try to collect from a different, more authentic and involved perspective.

Do these cardboard hoarders sit outside card stores begging for commons? Are there a good amount who do this begging for an income?
Cause then you would have an exact match. Otherwise they are not the same at all.

Maybe not on the corner but they sure do sit at stores molesting packs in search of the ole $2 relic. They are also very good at going to the B/S/T section begging for deals they can make money on, not looking to do any work, just want lots thrown their way for free money. Yup, sure seems like a lot of it going on in the good ole cardboard world.
Same thing happens in both parts of the industry whether you like it or not.

It's funny, one of the reasons why some of us ask the players themselves for autographs is because we can't afford big time cards of theirs because people who aren't genuinely interested in the hobby and only look to make money, drive the markets for cards insane. IP'ing is a cheaper, much more fun alternative.

Not even close to the same besides both being slimeball losers.
Do the pack searchers expect these packs for free? Do they sit outside and beg other pack searchers for freebies? Do they use children for hot packs? Do they get one real card for their own collection and then forge 50 for sale? Do they cry online when their hot packs dont give them more free hot packs?
