.... Upper Deck sold the naming rights and brands and designs of Fleer/Skybox to Panini.... would much rejoicing ensue?

Nope... UD already milked the 90's design/brand to the extreme through retro.

And then Panini milked the Donruss design/brand already. Look at Crusade, Certified, Cramer's Choice... they just don't carry 90's hype.

What brands are there now? All I ever see is Panini. I remember they use to only make stickers and sticker books lol

The retro thing has been done to death over the past 5 years. The hobby isn't going to be propelled forward without new concepts.

If upperdeck sold the rights to panini, wouldn't the likes of Jordan and Lebron have autograph cards available with panini and NBA logos again?

The Fleer/skybox brand has nothing to do with MJ and Lebron. UD can still act as an agent for MJ's and Lebron's signings.
