I was looking for a new vintage set to pursue;
And the 1966 Batman cards look like fun.
Anyone done this?
Any advice?
I see there are at LEAST 3 different card backs.
Is one more desireable?
Are they the same cards with just different backs?
Any advice (or warnings) appreciated.

These are fun cards to collect. I believe there are 5 different sets: black bat, red bat, blue bat (with 2 different backs - puzzles or a big blue bat with story text in it), riddler back and bat laffs. The first 3 are artwork sets and the last 2 are photos from the tv show. The black bat cards (has the card title in a black bat on the card front) are probably the easiest to get as it was the first set and they seem to be more plentiful. I believe in the past the blue bat (card title on the front in a blue bat) cards with the blue bat on the back and the riddler cards (the photos from the show are in picture frame-like black/white/red borders around the front edges where the black chipped easily) are the harder sets to complete. Fast answer but hope that makes sense. But, yeah, the sets are generally known as black bat, red bat, blue bat, riddler back and bat laffs (have bat jokes on the back sides with tv photos on the front).
