The NBA is reportedly looking into the news that Isiah Thomas will work in a part-time capacity for the Knicks, while still holding the full-time coaching job at Florida International.

Isiah told Fox Sports that the deal had already been cleared, but that is not the case. "We are reviewing the agreement, in consultation with the Knicks, for compliance with league rules," league spokesman Tim Frank said. Having an NBA employee directly coaching NCAA athletes creates an obvious conflict of interest, and our guess is Isiah will end up choosing the Knicks over college coaching, where he was an impressive 7-25 last season. Get ready to add FIU to the long list of things that were worse off after being run by Isiah.
