Well I've got THE ANSWER! Ok that was stupid, but here's a mailday I'm pretty proud of.

So, I have completely stopped buying anything Panini, the cards I have will stay in my collection, but other then that there will be no new additions with their logo. This has been great because it has freed up funds to go towards my rare refractors/parallels/inserts of Iverson. These seem to actually hold/increase in value rather then anything Panini. I am glad to check this one off the list.

I don't know the print run on these, so input is appreciated. I just know they are very rare and look awesome. I love the cracked ice look, and this seems to be the OG of that. I had only seen the regular version one's in person and was really surprised how much better the gold's look. It's hard to capture all the qualities of the card in a picture, but I tried my best. Gonna be sent to BGS soon.

So, here is the new addition of you read through all that BS.

Those are great! I still need to somehow get me a Marbury...

According to Beckett, only 10% of the print run of the Stars were gold.

Edit:

I actually have this one. Never seen one like it before. It is embossed, but does not have the refractor finish that they have and it has that weird gold foil that is all swirly on it... I don't know what happened here

Ya I read about the 10% of print run thing but I don't really know what that means. The one you have is the regular version which is also rare, just not as rare as the gold's. I don't know what that swrily gold ribbon is but looks interesting. Very nice card, I wanna add that one soon. Anymore info on these would be great!

Mine isn't the regular one, though. That's what's weird about it. It doesn't have the shiny finish. It looks just like it does in the scan. Only part that reflects, is that gold ribbon stuff that is randomly on there.

As for the 10%, you would just have to try and figure out how many of the regular ones were made. If only 100 of the regular Stars were made, then there would be only 10 golds. Like the PMGs.

O now I understand. I thought it meant 10% of entire print run of cards in this product lol. I did some research and found this on hobby kings:

Odds- 97/98 Ultra stars gold are 1:2880

So the odd of any specific gold like this Iverson would be 1:25920 because there was 20 in the set.

OP, did you just win that Ivo on ebay a couple days ago? I was watching it since it was added, thinking that since the seller didn't list it as gold, that it wouldn't go as high. I was wrong.

Ya I was hoping the same, but unfortunately there was a bit of a bidding war at the end. I'm comfortable with what I paid so its fine.

I bought a Buyback recently. I really wish they would have used a gold for this:
