Word is, Stephen Curry is going to be announced as the league's MVP tomorrow. Awesome news. Meteoric rise for a guy who is still getting better.

Happy for the kid... he deserves it. Not that I'm a big fan of his or anything so this is a completely unbiased opinion. ;):p:cool::o

Him and Harden were neck in neck. Both were deserving.

Speaking of Curry, thinking about making an offer on this one, any advice/opinions on what to offer? Im sure with the MVP announcement, his stuff is going to start going crazy...

I wanted Westbrook to win it. I felt He really deserved it but not making the playoffs hurt His cause. Curry has been playing well though

Pretty much everyone knew he was going to win the mvp for month now. So his stuff is probably going to stay the same which is already all time high. But if warriors can win the championship, players may take a slight spike

Really? I'll say this much: there were many voters I know that went with Harden. Curry winning MVP was no guarantee by any means.
Thought Draymond Green had DPOY locked up for months as many others did. You never know for sure how people voted (one dude admitted he completely forgot about Green while voting for DPOY)

I think it will spike a little now since he won the MVP. If the Dubs win the ship, it will spike again.

I figured Curry would win. 67 wins is really the main reason.

If this is true, I win £230 (about $350) after putting a £10 bet on him to win MVP at odds of 23-1 at the beginning of the season.
Last year I won more than £400 ($600) after betting on Durant to win MVP, Spurs to be champions, and Leonard to be Finals MVP.
Hopefully I can do just as well next year!
Now I need to decide what cards to buy with my winnings :D

wow, congrats!
next year I feel Lebron will make a conscious effort to get back to #1...
Although he'll probably finish in the top 4 or 5 in votes, there were never any serious talks of him winning it and I'm sure it eats him up inside.

it's all about the image. curry is squeaky clean, does commercials while harden looks like a terrorist with that beard. the nba doesn't want to be represented by a guy that looks like that. yes the nba chooses the mvp, it's fixed, the nba is fixed

You may want to pic-up some cards of the man himself. The MVP guarantees him a place in the HOF in a few years!

Let me know which year of MVP decision is made by NBA which is different from the voting result.
Thanks.

Not true at all, James Harden has tons of commercials including Foot Locker, NBA2k15, ESPN, etc. Even has one where its him and Curry

Curry, Harden, & KD are going to be on the cover.

Whoever they think will help them sell games unless they've come out and said it'll always be the MVP. Depending on how the rest of the post season goes, I could see LeBron landing the cover again if the Cavs somehow win the title.

Steph got 100 of 130 first place votes. You couldn't have known that many voters going with Harden.

Curry is better in almost every category, including percentages. His team was the best team in the league. How was he robbed?

Cheers Warren! I wouldn't mind a Curry Exquisite RC for my collection (I've got about 20 cards from that set), but prices have gone up significantly.
I'll stick to retired Hall of Famers for now I think :)

If anything Lebron is the most valuable to his team, not Harden. Curry had a good year on a historic team, deserving of MVP.

I'm sorry, but everyone who thought Harden or Westbrook was going to win were living in a fantasy world. To say Harden was robbed in simply ridiculous. He didn't even get 20% of the first place votes.

yeh, Harden wasnt robbed, Curry was a standout.
Harden and RW were simply awesome, but clearly behind Curry.
