I'm just in awe every episode, because I always see each clone as a different person, it never ever seems like oh, one person is playing them all. And that's a tough thing to do. It's so impressive.

On the clone club Facebook page George posted them. He gave some away. Other than the contests there I don't think the p5 has been officially released like at a convention. I think it's going to be released somewhere at some point. Not sure where or when tho.

As for that date, I can guarantee it won't be out in 9 days. For one it's listed as Q2 and that doesn't start til next month. Then they haven't listed previews of any autos. Which they generally roll put for at least a couple weeks, probably more, prior to release. And last, there's three other sets that look to be set to release before this, by the order of CZE's website. That's not a perfect science, but the stage that it's at, it will be a little while.

George works at cryptozoic. He kinda runs the trading card division, or at least a lot of it. The TBD should mean ratio...so there should be plates, however all of stuff can still change by release. Every once in awhile something will get pulled, changed, or added. The mock up was from George so it should be close to that design. Otherwise I doubt he would have showed it. As for autos. Hopefully tatiana signs! But we won't know until autos come back. They could do variations of her auto for each clone. They have done variations for arrow for like the character and then the characters hero or villain alias. I've only seen two variations per set, so it would be interesting for there to be alot. Because... alot of main cast are limited to around 100 autos or so. Since she's all the main cast could they get her to sign 100 per character or would they be like 25 each and be super rare?! I'm really interested to see what they do. The scenario is pretty unprecedented. It's like you do just Sarah or you do them all. You can't really just pick two. However I could see an auto with a cast photo with part of each clones face and have it say tatiana as sarah, cosima, alison, Beth, helena. Lmao. As cool as it would be to have each clone. With as much as I'm sure her auto would cost it would be hard to get them all. Money wise and probably scarcity wise too. Sorry that was long.

I think it would make sense to have her sign cards for 1 or 2 of the characters for season 1, then have her as another clone for season 2 etc.....I don't think that they would put all of them into 1 release...then there would be nothing left for season 2, 3 and on.
It might have been better for them to combine seasons so that they could have a fuller auto list...still plenty of people for season 1...Bruce Dylan already signed for Arrow, so I'm sure he signed OB cards.
Also, I have a friend that does signings & had one with her, so she does sign but they had to send everything over to the UK.

Tatiana is the only signer that matters to this set. ^^^Maybe she does sign as Sarah for this and a different character for future releases? That would be a pretty good idea. The only other autographs I would chase would be Felix and Donnie:)!

Same here. If a person doesn't sign, there are dozens of reasons, but I very much doubt 'Cryptozoic didn't try' isn't among them.

All of those id definitely want! She does such an amazing job playing all of the clones. When a Clone Comes up i say oh Helena! In my mind or whoever. so it would be nice to get different signatures. Yes i agree if she doesn't sign it would be bad, however they've already announced season 2. Id have to venture to guess they'd have to be somewhat confident about Season 1.So i guess well see.

They must be. I thought a season 2 announcement was strange without a season one release yet, but even when a set doesn't do well they seem to try and finish the series in some capacity. There will be no more once upon a time because they no longer have the liscence. And I haven't heard anything on more sleepy hollow, but the finished out fringe and psych, so I guess it's not that weird. Just don't remember a subsequent set ever being announced before the first one was released.

Personally, I really don't think this is a good group break product at the usual $35-40. I don't think there will be many cards over that price point to make it worth it.

Unfortunately I really dislike the design. The show is pretty dark and gritty, but the design is bright and poppy -- seems like the design would be great for something like Doogie Howser MD. I am not feeling it for Orphan Black.

I'll still be picking some up as I love the show, but probably not as much as I would have if they nailed the design.

Kathryn Alexandre is signing for Season 3. She's also Tatiana's acting double and plays all the clones opposite her.

Personally, I really don't think this is a good group break product at the usual $35-40. I don't think there will be many cards over that price point to make it worth it.

I am a big fan of the show and would love to do a group break of this. Not sure how many of the actors have autographs in other releases but I would have to disagree that it isn't a good candidate for a group break. As long as they get a few more key characters the autograph list will be incredible.

You already have Sarah and the clones, Kira and Donnie. If you can get Felix, S, Art, Delphine and the Castor clones that would be a great selection of top tier actors from the show. Fill it out with Paul, Vic, Leake(sp?) and other smaller characters. Not sure which season some came in but Scott, the bigger lady who does the plays with Allison, the PD tech guy who liked Beth, etc.

If the autograph checklist is around 20 names that should put half of them north of $20-$25 value.

This season just ended (fairly quietly for a season finale) and next season will be the show's last, so if they want to strike while the iron is hot, they need to get these out in a hurry, especially if they hope to cover the entire storyline. These will be a much tougher sell when the TV series is over.

Vic was pretty important early on, but he was always more of a secondary character. Characters like Art, Sarah, Donny, Felix and Delphine are all more valuable imo. Seems like a $15-$25 card to me but I might be waaay off. I also enjoy him on Saul, but he was pretty underused in season 2. His scenes with Mike were always exciting.

That still makes her have a lot more autos than most limited signers. Sounds like she'll probably have between 200-300 whereas arrows limited signers only had 100. I'm just sad they are all different because even they are all her, the fact they are limited to 30 or less each Wil probably make them ridiculously expensive. I'd be happy with just one. But if even just a few people are chasing them all, we're in trouble. :(

so are prices tanking on the 'bay already or are auctions the worst thing for this release? I was able to get a pretty good card for what I consider a great price earlier in the week. Put in a random semi low bid on a Tatiana listing yesterday and missed it by like $1 because I forgot to re-bid thinking I'd get outbid really quickly but it went for the least of them all which have sold.

I noticed a fair amount of minor character Gotham auto's are actually going up and some Crypto TWD are creeping up there too so I can't figure out the market right now.

I think it took too long to release this set. The show is over in a few months and most of the buzz from it has worn off considerably. I think it would be a different story if this set was released in between seasons 1 and 2 or even 2 and 3. I know they already have some season 2 autographs signed but at this point I'd be a little surprised if they made any more Orphan Black sets -- at least as a traditional box/case release.

For me personally I'm a little turned off by Tatiana's signature. It's hard for me to pay top dollar for a signature like that. Plus some of them I've seen have bad streaking as if the pen was running out of ink. They're still on my radar though if I can find quality examples at the right price.

I was told by a distributor that this would be released at SDCC. I tweeted George. I've had season 2 on order since last year. I'm ok with premium but got a problem if it's SDCC only. Hopefully, George can clear this up soon.

I just looked at the preview cards on the Crypto website and the auto/costume cards for Season 3 look amazing. I also really like the card design for Season 2. I'll definitely be buying a couple of packs when they're available!

Why can't they do more releases like this? I really think the $80+ initial price point is what is killing a lot of products.

I'd really like to know why also.

I asked Breygent when they went back to packs for Dawn when they did premium box releases for Red Sonja, Vampirella, WoM and they said it was because Hobby owners wanted the pack format.

Going into a hobby store just to buy a few packs of cards here and there, I'm not sure how many of those exist for non-sports. In Wisconsin, I can maybe think of 1 or 2 stores in the state that I've run across that are supporting a business model of open non-sports boxes on the shelves where you can buy a pack or two. So, I don't think it is a necessity to do that.

I'd be curious on how much of a savings it from a production standpoint going from a 24 pack/12 box case model to more of a premium box model or even a mini-box/mini-pack model. Just seems like alot of needless waste with wrappers, boxes and probably base sets that are ending up in landfills.

Apologies for bumping this old thread, but does anybody know if the binder was actually released? I'm just starting into collecting OB but I can't find any information on the binder actually being released along with the exclusive swipe key card that comes with it. Also, if anybody knows where I could get the best deal on a case of Season 1 boxes that would be of great help too. :)

Yes the binder was released. The image shown below was taken from worthpoint. As far as sealed cases go, there's a seller on eBay asking $550 OBO for one, while Blowout has individual boxes at $39.95. They let you add 12 to cart for a total of $479.40, so they may or may not come as a sealed case. You'd have to contact them to find out. Good luck!

Blowout had cases of Orphan Black on sale for $299 during one of the recent sales following Black Friday.

If you are buying today the $40 price on BO is likely the best. Who knows if it will go on sale again. They could have 5 boxes in the warehouse, or 20 cases.

Ah, thanks for the information on the binder and getting a sealed case! Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for the binder because I'm planning on collecting a full set of Season 1 which means I'll need to get hold of the exclusive card that comes in it. :o

Argh, I literally just started watching OB over the holiday season and am obsessed with the show now. Fingers crossed that Blowout restocks cases or drops the prices on the individual boxes, otherwise I guess I'll pick up a box or two at the $40 it's going for now, just for fun. It would probably be much cheaper for me to build a complete set through buying singles on eBay, but I much enjoy the rush of opening packs myself. :p

Still waiting for Blowout to give a good deal on their remaining S1 boxes but in the mean time I picked up some S2 & S3 autos from their eBay store. :)
