Was this a bad trade?

I gave up Chris Sale for Todd Frazier. Sale is shaping back into form, but Frazier has great counting stats for hitters.

Depends on the league scoring. If it values pitchers highly, Sale is good to have. If they're fairly even, I would rather have Frazier. He's having a great year

I'd rather have Sale by a wide margin. As good of a year as Frazier is having, he's only hitting .250. If he was a higher AVG guy, it would be closer. Even then, I think I would still rather have Sale.

Is this standard 5x5? Did you have a lot of good pitchers already? Were you desperate for a bat like Frazier? It doesn't sound good to me unless you could spare the pitching.

I'll agree with the consensus...in a vacuum, I'd rather have Sale, but I can see the trade based on league format and if you have plenty of pitching but garbage at 3B.

Obviously it depends on who Frazier was replacing and who replaces Sale. I'm actually a HUGE Sale fan but I'll go against the grain, especially if its your basic 5x5 league. His HR pace will slow down but he's on pace to go 108 runs/50 homers/96 RBIs and 25 steals. For what its worth, only 3 players in all of baseball reached 100 runs and 100 RBIs and nobody in baseball went 90/30/90/20.

Even if he hits .250, you are getting pretty close to elite #'s in the other 4 catagories.

I went pitcher heavy in the draft and my best hitter after Frazier was Bryant, Dozier, and CarGo. I drafted King Felix, Sale, Matt Harvey, and Kluber. Also have Jose Fernandez on my DL. But my strategy backfired with the slow start of Kluber and Sale and my hitless team. Thanks for the input guys! I felt like it was the best move I could make to boost my offense.

I'm with the masses, Sale is an elite SP...once it's all said and done he will have his usual numbers minus high amounts of wins because the White Sox are terrible

After seeing your other pitchers you definitely make that trade. Even after giving up Sale you will have 3 top 10 pitchers and another potential stud in Fernandez. Solid pitching is ALWAYS easier to find than hitting.

With that pitching staff, you did fine. You need hitting. Cargo has sucked this year.

Hope you enjoyed the week Frazier just had. I just went up against him in my H2H and he killed me. Not sure if the average will stay where it currently is but he is hitting the ball as well as anyone right now.

Thanks and yes I did. I needed it! I did get the win last week. But this week starting off bad with King Felix getting rocked.
