I designed these two custom cards, one to match the Smallville and the other the start of a custom Lost Girl set. Then Steve (GUCD321) made them into physical cards for me, very quickly I might add! So big thanks to him! Then Alan (pinhead767) got them signed for me! So yay! And big thanks to him as well! I did the backs of the cards as well, but don't have nice pics of them. Lol.
Laura Vandervoort from Smallville!

Ksenia Solo from Lost Girl! (Will need help getting a Rachel Skarsten one signed at whatever con she's at next!)

Thanks! :) I like them. Not sure when or if I will be able to spend $500 to get the official Vandervoort card. This one was much cheaper! Lol. I'm hoping to continue the lost girl set too. I would love an official set, but idk if will ever happen. So hoping to make a complete set someday.
Wow I would buy that Ksenia Solo auto that is very cool. and the Laura Vandervoort matches very well

That would be cool but I also doubt it will happen. I do Wish I had the nounce to create trading cards, before I meet comic con guests. did you created the templates yourself?
Did you use Photoshop on them?

For the Smallville I started with a scan of a card from the set. And edited it from there, the background is from the card scan, but the rest is recreated.
The lost girl I just whipped up from scratch. Just looking at a few other random auto cards for size reference. I think it turned out well. I wanted to make sure there was enough room for her signature and I think it worked out well. :)
I don't have photoshop, I use paint.net, which is basically photoshop, but harder to use. Lol. You have to do most stuff by hand. Less filters and stuff lol.
Thanks for looking!

I've never heard of Paint.net before I've decided to get Photoshop to try to make Trading Cards (Your Ksenia Auto has inspired me to create my own Teen wolf auto set and Possibly Lost girl)
does it have a desgin on the back as well, I was playing around with the idea of creating both sides.
Thanks again

Rachel Skarsten is going to be at Space City Con in Houston in July.
I doubt I'll be able to afford to hit that one, but if I do I'll let you know.
The backs of the card were cool. Very professional looking.
Ksenia really liked the Kenzi card. She was all 'Where did you get this? It's awesome.'

I love to create custom cards, some to match a series, some my own design...
great for conventions and add ons..
All created just for fun, no copyright infringement intended...

Nice cards! A good free alternative to Photoshop is GIMP, the Gnu Image Manipulation Project.
Has a ton of options, filters, etc. Open source Photoshop essentially that has been worked on and improved for at least a decade.
GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program (http://www.gimp.org/)
Good luck getting the other auto!

Cool cards! Nice of the members to help you get them signed. Steve is great to work with.
I must ask, what's up with the misspellings on the back of the lost girl one?

Hahaha. It is spelled wrong. I was in a huge hurry. I usually double check everything, but I needed to get it done quickly.
That's what you get when you only spend 30 seconds on the backside. I triple checked the front.
I might be able to redo the back and just affix it to the top of this one. I'll fix it before I print anymore tho. It's off center as well.
