It's not as good as some of the best 30/30s but if you love 90s ball it gives some cool insight into those Rocket's teams and also makes you respect Rudy T a lot more than I already did.

I enjoyed watching it. Hakeem was the man!

They had no business beating that Orlando team but absolutely destroyed them after Nick Anderson missed those free throws.

In my opinion that Houston team is one of the most underrated champions of all time.

Saw the last 30 minutes. It was great. I forgot how many elimination games they overcame. I remember that Nick Anderson choke job like it was yesterday. Epic choke job.

The Dream destroyed Robinson in the WCF.

Olajuwon averaging 29/11/5 with 1.7 steals during the first title and then 33/10/5 during the second.

I had forgot Drexler wasn't on the first title team. Also, forgot Maxwell sent himself home after getting no minutes and then Tomjanovich putting him in to brick the final shot to win it.

The Mario Elie Kiss of Death.

That 94-95 roster was stacked...

Olajuwon
Elie
Drexler
Kenny Smith
Vernon Maxwell
Horry
Cassell

Good stuff.

94 finals against the Knicks was my first finals I've ever watched as a kid so it was awesome to see this documentary as it was very nostalgic for me. The best is when Hakeem smacked Vernon Maxwell across his face for spitting all over the place lol

What's funny is that I think that team is one of the worst championship rosters of all time. And to be fair, so was MY Knick team they beat in 7. That Knick team is my favorite team of all time, but the two finals teams that year had 1 thing in common... they only had one superstar.

Starks, Maxwell, Smith, Oakley, Thorpe, Mason, etc. These guys were great NBA starters who has solid careers, but they weren't Jordan, Pippen, Rodman or Bird, McHale, Parrish or Maigc, Kareem, Worthy. It wasn't Duncan, Manu, Parker or Wade, Lebron, Bosh, it wasn't legendary like the 70 Knicks or the Celtics teams of the 60s and 70s.

It was more like the Mavericks title team. They didn't have role players like the Bad Boys or balance like the 04 Pistons. What they did have was heart. So did the Knicks. Sometimes that is what makes your great when you only have one star.

I have always said this. I thought Ewing and Robinson were better than Hakeem. But there was this 2 year window, 93-95 where Hakeem was 10x better than Ewing, Robinson and every other player in that league and that/those two titles put him above both and make him the best center of the 90s. He was so unstoppable in that time period and when he learned to pass, it made everyone on that team dangerous.

That was a great story. Hakeem was very good in the doc, so was Rudy. I didn't remember all the behind the scene stuff. This was before the internet was the way it is now so most of the news I got in my teen years was in the paper or on tv. I didn't realize how bad it got with Mad Max. I also didn't realize how they felt about Clyde in that locker room.

I think the doc was cool because I'm a basketball junkie. However I don't think it delivered like the fab 5 doc. It just wasn't as compelling of a story maybe.
