Taking AZL 50/50s

We are 2 days away from the start of the season! :flex:

AZL (Arizona League = Rookie Ball ) Most of the players were just drafted this year, there are usually a bunch of rehabbing players as well.



I usually look at the transaction list daily to see which players were transferred, or rehabbing. I did a quick glance over it and found 1 player that is on the AZL Rangers. Luis Ortiz.

I really doubt Luis Ortiz actually pitches in AZL. He is doing very well in A-ball and more likely a candidate to get promoted than demoted. The transaction was probably done to make room on the Hickory roster for another player while Ortiz is between starts.

Most of the rosters are out for the AZL. Lots of LatAm players with little or no US experience. Brewers seem to be the most stacked so far with Gilbert Lara (#6 MIL prospect), Trent Clark (#15 overall pick), Demi Orimoloye and David Lucroy.
