My brother and I have collected sports cards for all our lives - over thirty years and counting - and aside from the four major sports, we have opened pretty much every kind of product out there (with the possible exception of car racing). In recent years I've experienced a bit of burn out regarding sports cards - it seems new products are more and more expensive, while at the same time less creative and less appealing. In particular companies like Panini and Topps seem to be raising the bar as far as just how much people are willing to spend (i.e. Flawless, Dynasty).
In light of the above, I started to put together a small, non-sport collection which I would like to share with you in this thread. Here it is, in no particular order:
We'll start with "Parks & Recreation", one of my favorite shows. I purchased most of the characters I like and was only disappointed that Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt didn't sign for the set. Also it's too bad that Aziz only signed in red ballpoint pen - it doesn't come out well. I wish they would make more products like this with popular, mainstream shows ("The Office?" "Brooklyn 99?")

Next is "Game of Thrones", possibly the most compelling show on TV. I'm missing some of the more expensive cards (i.e. Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage) but below are three of my favorite characters from the show.

Next is a show that I have never watched, "Vampire Diaries." I was first made aware of this show when I saw a taxi cab advertisement in Shanghai featuring Nina Dobrev. I picked up Kat Graham after I saw her in Ridiculousness. Kelly Hu, of course, is a dream girl for Asian guys in their 30's and 40's.

The next three cards are from the X-Men/Wolverine movies. I enjoyed Ryan Reynolds in "Just Friends" and Olivia Williams in "Rushmore."

Next we'll go with two popular actresses in the 90's who starred together in Aerosmith's "Crazy" video - Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler.

Next are the only two cards in the collection that are sticker autos - known best as Sloan from "Entourage" and Elaine from "Seinfeld." Neither has any on-card autos to my knowledge. On a side note, I'm not a fan of the Panini celebrity sets (i.e. Americana, Country Stars) however I would still buy a Jackie Chan sticker auto if the price was right.

The next two cards are from Panini's Fans of the Game insert set - Cerie from "30 Rock" and Samantha from "Who's The Boss." I like the design of these two sets very much, however the checklists are horrible.

I lived in Japan from 2000 to 2002 and the following are four "idols" that were very popular during that time. For those that are curious, they are Kyoko Fukada, Aya Hirayama, Aya Ueto and Yuuka.

Next up are two Asian dudes - Harold from "Harold & Kumar" and Jay Chow/Chou, who is probably the best-selling musician in China over the past 15 years. The American equivalent might be, I don't know, a male Mariah Carey? I'm surprised it doesn't sell for more.

Next are two guys from very different backgrounds - Schmidt from "New Girl" and Daniel Boulud, one of the most talented chefs in the world. I used to supply wine to his two restaurants in China. Again, I'm surprised his auto does not sell for more, but I guess there isn't that much overlap between cards and cooking (and Chinese pop music, for that matter.)

Next we have two black actresses - Vivica Fox from "Kill Bill" (among a ton of other movies) and Thandie Newton from "Mission Impossible II."

And now two popular British actresses who were nominated for Oscar Awards (one a two-time winner). Which makes me think that I need to pick up more autos from "Lord of the Rings" and "James Bond."

The next three ladies are known for wearing bikinis (or not).

The next three actresses were also popular in the 90's - really showing my age here. Shiri Appleby from "Girls", Rachael Leigh Cook from "She's All That" and Katie Holmes from "Dawson's Creek."

And lastly (for now) we have Kristen Bell from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and Christina Hendricks from "Mad Men." Incidentally, Hendricks is now in a new show on Comedy Central called "Another Period." Watched the first episode and seemed pretty funny.

Wow cool these are great cool collection, I have been collecting for awhile now I have single auto's from random sets because I've liked said actors in film/tv but most the Auto's I want are stupidly expensive.
