I almost never post on BO, but I see and read things that I find tons of value in. In the spirit of that.....I need feedback.

I have an uncut sheet of 2012 Topps Archives Baseball that I'm going to get framed soon. I would love to hear suggestions on how protect that sheet from getting damaged over time, in a frame. What kind of glass? Is there special glass or plastic used for this? Matted? Or not?

What I don't want to happen one day is to decide to pull it from the frame and it be completely stuck to whatever surface it is. Throw me some suggestions! I'd be most appreciative!

I have done a considerable amount of work to find the right glass/acrylic. Museum glass which has the best UV protection is expensive and very heavy... Too heavy for the sheet i would assume. I go with UV protected acrylic. People will tell you that all acrylic has some UV protection but to really get protection you need to use higher end UV protected acrylic. Most good framing specialist can order it for you. It is definitely more expensive but worth every penny imo. I use it for all my card displays... Here is a link with the basics:

If your thinking about framing it yourself I would recommend checking out this site - Custom Picture Frames: Metal and Wood ? DIY Picture Framing - American Frame (http://www.americanframe.com/)

I've framed over a dozen prints using metal and wood frames, and they all look very nice! The prices are much cheaper than taking to a local framing store, and the quality of products is solid.

Appreciate the feedback. I'll do some research on those sites! :)!
