I'm starting to collect sets and am storing them in cardboard boxes. Wondering if it's necessary to penny sleeve them before boxing them, or if they'll be tight enough in the box to prevent edge and corner damage.
What do you all usually do?
Thanks in advance!

Unless you plan on throwing them around, the corners and edges should be fine.
The only concern I would have is damage to the surface. When the cards are packed in, sometimes a glossy surface can become damaged, although the same can happen in penny sleeves. As long as you keep them away from moisture, they should be fine without penny sleeves.
If you plan on going through the box a lot and handling cards, I would suggest penny sleeves, but considering that they will just be sitting there, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the info. I'm not planning on moving things around too much, so I'll save myself the time and forgo the sleeves.
