According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, there are no plans to promote Michael Conforto on Thursday.

There has been speculation all week that Conforto is on the verge of joining the Mets, but it would be pretty cruel to promote the left-handed-hitting 22-year-old on Thursday and make him debut against Clayton Kershaw. Conforto, the 10th overall pick in the 2014 MLB Amatuer Draft, should get the nod soon enough. He's batting .301/.377/.489 with 12 home runs and 54 RBI in 90 games this season between High-A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton. Jul 23 - 9:09 AM
