Swanson Hit In Face With Pitch
July 26, 2015 by Staff Report

No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson was hit in the face with a pitch from Cuban righthander Yoan Lopez during a simulated game Thursday at the Diamondbacks’ extended spring training facility, a source confirmed to Baseball America, but Swanson did not sustain any fractures.

The extent of Swanson’s injuries were not immediately known, but he will remain in extended spring training indefinitely. The former Vanderbilt star was expected to join short-season Hillsboro today but is not in the lineup.

Will Albies actually pay off as a hobby investment? I love the guy, and I am a huge fan and collector of shortstops. However, will lots of glove, great speed, and great contact.... will he really ever increase much more in value? I am learning the hard way about these shortstops.

Haha, I am the shortstopguy.... But I am a terrible prospector.... I have been trying to get out of prospect and into vintage for ages.... But I keep getting sucked back in!
