Just saw the replay on that homerun. Is that the fastest cycle ever?

Unreal that he has done it 3 times in his career.

True story, love Beltre and as an Angels fan, I need Astros losses. Great night all around so far. Now I just need the Halos to quit screwing off and remember how to play baseball. So far they look like they will start tomorrow.

One more stat to add to his HOF career.

I was debating his topic with someone tonight. Would love to hear what people think. Just seems he doesn't have the numbers. Well shy of 3k hits, barely 400 HRs.

He is 36 with almost 2700 hits. Two average seasons puts him at 3K.

Nothing to debate, he's in for sure.

Saw an article that said he was the 2nd fastest. Mike Lansing did it in 4 innings.

If he keeps playing for 2-3 more years and gets to 3,000 hits I have no doubt he'll make it to the HOF, possibly even first ballot. Even if he doesn't get 3,000 hits I still think he'll make it, just not first ballot.

He has already accumulated 80+ WAR which is generally a very good indicator of a HOF career.

You are one of the few who know about my quiet PC. I still can not believe I sold the 98 atomic I had :( Cheers to an awesome ball player and a true class act.

He could retire today and he's in. He has solid offensive numbers and he is arguably the best defensive 3rd baseman of his generation. He is also beloved by the fans, his teammates and the media. No, he won't be in the 90-95% voting range but 75% isn't even a question.

Yessiree, Beltre is a stud and a great guy to boot. I still have two main regrets as an Angels fan, one was a young Miggy who was signed, sealed and delivered for only the price of an Ervin Santana and Brandon Wood, &R%E^W%$%$#^$&$&$&%.

The other was when Beltre was begging the Angels to sign him before he eventually signed with TX after Anaheim blew him off. Instead they have had a glaring hole at 3B ever since and he has done nothing but mash, play superb defense and be a great teammate and fan favorite. ^%^&$%#^%&^*%*&%*&%.

This.
I might start a Beltre PC from just his year in Boston.
