Sorry, I am just pumped for a friend of mine, one who many people wrote off. My friend Kaleb Cowart got the call today from Triple A to play tonight as an Angel!! I am proud of him. He had a couple of very bad seasons in the minors and was demoted to start the season, then got promoted to Triple A Salt Lake and did work! It has now all paid off and I couldn't be happier! I hope he continues to do well in the BIGs. Kaleb Cowart On His Way to The Show | Salt Lake Bees News (http://atmilb.com/1E4dqSQ)

I hope so too. I'm wondering how he picked the number 71 for a jersey number. I'll have to ask and see what I can find out. He struck out on his first at bat. I am sure nerves get to you for your first at bat. I wouldn't know but I could imagine. I hope he does well!

He was 0 for 3 last night. :( I hope he gets back in the rhythm that he has been in. He can hit well, he just needs to hit it away from the defensive players and find that sweet spot to hit it too in the field.

He looked great in the field at third, 0-3 at the plate but he hit a couple hard foul, we'll see how he does tomorrow with all his friends and family out at the game.

Thanks for the info... The one night they don't show an Angels game here in Texas and he got called up and I couldn't watch it. That is good to hear that he looked good out there. I was wondering how he looked. He is a solid player, and he can connect with the ball, the problem honestly lies in the placement of the ball after it is hit. How rough times in AA at Arkansas wasn't so much that he couldn't connect with the ball, it's that he couldn't get to base off of his hits. I hope he does well, and I hope his family celebrates, they all deserve to enjoy and relish this time. I wonder why the apps said last night that he was #71 for Jersey number, but online I see he is #41. That's odd.

My son got his autograph in Tempe a few years ago. Nice guy. Glad to see he overcame some struggles. Good article in the LA Times today about his journey.

Yeah, you don't ever hear negative stuff about him. When I met my wife, our first date was two games to watch him play in Frisco, TX. When she met him at lunch after picking him up at his hotel, she came away thinking, this is a ball player? She never knew athletes were as nice as he is. Some ruin it for everyone, but then every once in a while you meet the good ones and it helps change how you think of athletes. He is a good kid. My wife loves him and I hope he takes the job from Freese and stays long enough to be in Texas in October so my son can meet him as well.

I bought 3 of his Travelers Game Worn Jersey's from the organization. two were auction items that they did and the other was an end of season sale online. Wish I would have bought the striped home jersey that is on a lot of his rookie cards. They each were only around $100 or so I believe. :/
