I decided to use some of the points I got in this Prizm Jumbo case that I'm not happy about to get a Prizm Gold Tre Mason. Since it was there, and it's a gold, it sort of lessens the sting a little that I didn't get much else in that case. Does that sound like something I should be able to turn around and get a decent price for?

Until Gurley proves that he is 110% recovered and can handle the grind of the NFL, I think Mason has tons of potential.

he does - but unfortunately that does not always translate to hobby demand

all it takes is a couple 100 yard games to start off the season and that will change... Gurley is already ruled out the first several games of the season and Mason is the clear starter.

It was the Prizm gold auto /10

He is a ram. Cards go to die in St Louis even if stars. Unless a QB then they even dip after a year

I think Marshall Faulk would have something to say about that :)

So, I guess the consensus is that while it's a gold auto /10, I'd get about 20 bucks for it? I guess that's not terrible.

I'd hold until the season starts and sel before Gurley comes back

Then it's a good thing they're moving back to CA.

I must have been the first person who requested that Mason card as a point reward.... Got #1/10!

If you're looking to sell, put it up on EBay at BIN/BO and let the offers roll in over the next few weeks and opening weeks of the season. He will play for sure.

I think you'd get 30-40 for it. $50 if lucky. The price quotes people were giving you were for Spectra and Select Prizms, no where near as popular as Prizm Prizms

Thanks guys :) Think I will post it shortly and see what it gets.

Here is the deal with any Rams cards, a large portion of their possible collectors(their "fans" in St. Louis) aren't going to waste time collecting them. They are screwing us, well the owner is, and people here don't give a crap. So a lot of fringe collectors arent going to pay for a rookie card of anyone when they aren't going to be here in six months. If I'm a investor with some money, I'm going hard after Rams rookies cards now and flipping them in March when they move to LA. I go to shows here and there is literally no Rams cards. None. We fans feel screwed and don't care.

FWIW I don't see a long term NFL star in Gurley (or Mariota or Winston TBH), so Mason might not be a bad bet.

Your only prayer is that Gurley either blows out his leg again or becomes the next T-Rich. And even in the best case scenario, that is still a RBBC, as Fishers offense is built off the run and he doesn't like to subject any of his backs to excessive punishment. All you have to do is look to the last 2 years to see the card price fates suffered by Rams rb's. It's funny how much Stacy's rc's were selling for at one point.

Are you serious? He sure didn't mind running Chris Johnson and Eddie George into the ground.

Well stacys cards were selling for that because fisher did run the ball with him non stop which is why he A had a monster end of 13 and B why he was ineffective in 14

Fisher has shown he will run a rb into the ground.

While I agree mason won't be good that's ok but your reasoning is way off.

Did you watch any of their games last season? It was as RBBC as it gets. Most especially frustrating as a fantasy owner of any of the 3 (stacy, cunningham, tre) because they never got enough consistency with touches even though the last two ran very well.

Perhaps Fisher wised up and realized that running your rb's to the ground isn't the way to go. But if I'm a betting man, my money is not on any of those guys getting 25-30 touches a game this year. Regardless how well they play.

Well since not one player in the league averaged 25 attempts a game, yes it would appear highly unlikely that anyone on the Rams will be getting 25 to 30 rushing attempts a game.

And Mason had the 20th most carries in the league despite not getting his first carry until week 6 (game number 5 due to a bye).

Sure seems like not much of a running back by committee. Or even if you want to try to argue that it is(and god knows you well) that's fine, but still one guy got enough carries to be considered among the league leaders in this stat.

Peties Army

Oh and FYI after Mason received his first carry on week 6 the rest of the year Stacy had 23 total carries and Cunningham had 39. Not sure the running back by committee stance you have is holding much water.

I guess the question is while you were watching the games did you leave anything?

He did have a 4.3 ypc in last years NFC West which had 3 of the top defenses in football. Even if Gurley takes over as the lead back simply to put fans in the seats Mason may well be able to sign on with another team down the road and have a solid career if he stays healthy.

No one is coming to these games. They are leaving. No one gives a crap.
