This week has been a good week for 90's rookie parallel maildays. Added some rather important cards. I'll have to update my rookie parallel thread later, as some of these cards are from sets I've featured here:

Indeed it is. Took awhile to find that one.

I thought for sure I was going to win that Walter! I was like WTF bid on this thing? Haha, glad it went to a good home. Did you snipe the Gonzo Topps Stars too?
EDIT: Looks like we both lost on the Tony.

Thanks, man. The Moss is very, very clean. No dimples, marks or scratches that I can see. Good centering, too. I'm plugging away at the Interstate Refractors one by one, but this was a big one.

I really wanted that Walter Jones. It's a key rookie for him. I did miss out on that Topps Stars Foil RC of Gonzo. I am still bugged out that missed it!

Thanks, my friend. It's one of my favorite parallels from that year. Such a clean look to them.

This was a fun week with some more 90's rookie parallels arriving. I'm still plugging away at the rookie portion of the 1998 Bowman Chrome Interstate Refractor set, so the Ahman Green was a nice grab. The 1999 Bowman Chrome Interstate Refractor Edgerrin James was also a nice grab. Down the road, I might end up working on the 1999 set, so James was a good place to start. The 1997 Absolute Reflex cards are tough to find, so I was glad to come across these two at a very friendly price. Enjoy!

Nice! I've been looking for a few of the 1997 Absolute Reflex Gold Redemption's but I've never seen one. Never seen the red's in person either are they similar to chrome?

Thanks! When you referred to the Reds, are you talking about the two I have pictured? As for the Gold Redemptions, they do exist. A few are on COMC, but they are nearly impossible to find.

Yeah the red's you have, I was wondering if they are similar to chrome since they have the peel? I saw the gold's on COMC even checked the sold out ones and none of them seem to have the peel like the red's do?

Ah, gotcha. Yes, the non-redemption cards do have the peel, just like Finest cards from that era. The reason the redemptions don't have the peel is likely due to the embossed gold star used on the redemption cards, just like how 1997 Finest Embossed/Embossed Refractors don't have peel.

I have the 97 Absolute Reflex Gold Redemption of Biakabutuka, I think there were only 3 sets? Dave & Adams broke up a set waaaaaay back in the day. Like mail order catalog back in the day.

Makes sense I didn't realize the star was embossed.

Wow 3+- sets I didn't realize it was that limited. Finding the Pats, Cowboys and a few others should be fun...

3 sticks out in my mind as the #, but it's possible I'm wrong, or perhaps more than 3 sets were manufactured and made it out the doors. I wish Beckett had an online searchable archive of all their back issues, now THAT would be something cool to look through, as well as a useful tool.

That Reflex set is going to be TOUGHHHHHH!!
Tell me about it. It's easily one of the toughest parallel sets from 1997 and might take me a few years to complete, but you know I'm always good for the challenge!

They really are tough to come across, so much so that I'm not going near the set. The Gold Redemption card for the base set was inserted as some astronomical rate - something like 1:4,000 packs, so I can't imagine what rate the Reflex Gold redemption cards were inserted at. It wouldn't shock me in the least if there are less than 10 of each Reflex Gold Redemption.
